how can i find the USC title and section when alls i know is the P.L. XX-XXX number? or vice versa, if i want the original P.L. reference of something i find under US Code?

www.thomas.loc.gov -- Click on Public Laws. Enter the Public Law (P.L.) number.

If you know the USC title and section, go to www.findlaw.com -- Click on Cases and Codes, then US Code. Search by text. Most sections have "Notes" which include the P.L. enactment dates.
