Helium 3 is abundant on the moon. China will follow its manned space launch of 2006 with a lunar robotic space launch in 2007. If China begins mining lunar Helium 3 will the US have any claim to mineral rights?

By international convention the Moon and extraterrestrial resources don't 'belong' to anyone; but it's easy to be magnanimous about something you can't get at. Once the exploitation of lunar minerals becomes practical we will probably see the usual squabbling, deals, and wars over it.

The U.N., a body created with the help of us of a, has change into no longer something more effective than a international coalition hostile to the U. S.. They block us at each turn. did you recognize that if we were given the ok with the help of the popular public and international community we would have wiped out Islamic extremism and could be rebuilding even the most harsh elements of Iraq? we could continuously have used each of the stress necessary, meaning a huge bombing campaign. there is not any reason behind our troops to be lack of life on a daily basis in Iraq. WE did what we necessary with the help of eliminating Saddam, he replaced right into a genocidal maniac hostile to the Kurds, and replaced into nicely on a thanks to getting nnukes. yet then we didn't wish boots on the floor, we necessary planes contained in the air. The U.N. is the honestly one of 5 large threats to the U. S., the others being China, Russia, an Arabic State, and Europe.

Well, international law governs things on the earth. The moon is not on the earth. So there must be some other set of things that govern extraterrestrial bodies. They'll probably try to extend "international law" to space somehow. But I don't think anybody is going to like the idea that this or that country "owns" the moon.

You're right. The United States needs to invade the moon to get the Helium 3 from those Chinese terrorists.
