I Believe the British Family Court to be the unfairest; unjust Court in the land; it is suppose to act in the interest of the child but clearly puts the interest of the mother first.

Do you agree ????????????????

There is a $100 dollar fine if you are caught not wearing your vest. You must wear the vest from the time you wake up until the time you lie down to go to sleep. Would you obey the law?

The entire world, AND at least 60% of our country, now know that our own government FABRICATED a litany of reasons to invade Iraq, which we are now OCCUPYING, something we ALSO said we'd never do! The results of those illegal, immoral, criminal, and incomprehensible acts have led to the subsequent murders of over 2,500 of our own brave soldiers, not to mention the hundreds of thousand of innocent Iraqis who have been murdered! WHAT GIVES HERE, PEOPLE?! DOES ANYTHING MORE EVEN NEED TO BE SAID TO BRING OUR CRIMINAL GOVERNMENT TO JUSTICE?! AND ARE WE NOT JUST AS GUILTY FOR BEING ACCOMPLICES AND FOR ALLOWING IT TO GO ON?! TO ALL OF YOU WHO STILL SUPPORT BUSH AND THE REST OF OUR FILTHY GOVERNMENT, HAVE YOU NO CONSCIENCES??!!!

Case 1
The room at the end of the hall
You have just showered and changed into civilian clothes. You think to yourself that, for a training officer, Sergeant Womack is all right. You have learned a lot from him during the last 6 weeks. Being a rookie police officer had gone much more smoothly than you thought it would. Finishing the last of your umpteenth cup of coffee, you can’t help but overhear the sergeant and the afternoon shift dispatcher discussing several neighborhood calls complaining about a weekend fraternity party on Elm Street.
You say to the sergeant, “Sarge, I used to be a member of that fraternity when I was a criminal justice student at the university. I’d be happy to stop by on my way home and check it out. College boys can get a little rambunctious at times. I don’t mind making a visit and getting them to quite things down.”
Sergeant Womack looks at the dispatcher and then turns to you.
“Ok, Bill. Just be sure if there is any trouble, you call me pronto.”
“You got it, Sarge,” you respond, chuckling to yourself and remembering your rambunctious times at the fraternity house.
Parking your truck by the street in front of the fraternity house, you can see the situation is about what you expected. You can quickly herd those persons partying in the yard into the house and announce to all, pulling your badge, to hold things down since the neighbors are complaining to the police. Your voice has a firm but friendly tone to it and the party goers with a couple of minor exceptions expressed by several intoxicated brothers, generally comply with your request. You ask one fairly responsible-looking student in a fraternity sweatshirt where Ed, the organization’s president, is, and he directs you to the last room on the right upstairs.
Entering the room, you observe seven or eight male students all watching some kind of activity in the corner of the room. Several are shouting encouragement while the rest are drinking beer and watching in silence. The observers are so enthralled with what is going on that they don’t even notice you presence as you work your way through the crowd to see what is going on. You stop in your tracks. There on the bed is a male student having intercourse with a girl. Next to the bed is another male student zipping his pants up. You can not tell what state of mind the girl is in. She seems intoxicated and confused, and perhaps even somewhat frightened. Not exactly sure what to do, you pull your badge and tell everyone to step outside the room, and not leave the house. You stop Ed and two male who were obviously having sex with the girl, and have them remain in the room. Ed, the fraternity president, has by this time recognized you. The girl starts to cry quietly, the two makes become very nervous and the rest of the observers quickly vanish from the room.
“Bill” begins the president, extending his hand to you, “We were just having some harmless fun.”
“I’m not so sure about that, Ed,” you reply, pulling out a notepad and pen and ignoring his extended hand. You direct Ed to take the two makes to an adjoining room and wait for you there. Your turn back to the girl, who has by now managed in some fashion to get dressed. You ask her what was going on. All she can manage between quiet sobs is that she is scared and that her name is Yvonne. You try to encourage her that everything will be all right and ask her to remain in the room while you question Ed and the other two males next door. As you leave the room, you look up to see Dr. Madge Mullins, Assistant Dean of Students, walking toward you. You know her from your days as a student.
“Bill, I got a call from a student downstairs who works in my office. What’s going on here?
You quickly explain the situation to her as you know it. You can tell from the look on her face that she is both concerned and agitated.
“Bill, you said the girl’s name is Yvonne? I’ve dealt with her before. She doesn’t have the best reputation on campus. This is a university matter and I will guarantee you that this situation will be handled in an appropriate manner. There is no need for us to further embarrass this girl or the university, for that matter. You know what happens when these things get in the paper.”
You carefully consider what Dean Mullins is saying. You also remember your sergeant’s parting words. Do you let her take care of the situation or do you call Sergeant Womack?

Based on what you have read, answer the following questions:
1. Is this situation a university or police matter? Why? Does the fact that the young girl seems to have a “reputation” make a difference?
2. Are you subject to any liability issues in this case?
3. What do you feel would be a responsible and just outcome to this case? What additional information would you need in order to make an accurate assessment?

The current president, GW Bush, amazingly, sometimes uses the phrase "human rights," when he obviously has no real understanding of the term (or despises it). He basically supports torture and premeditated killing. His use of the term implies that his hearers too (the American people) do not understand human rights either. What would it take to enable Americans to understand human rights? (I just know a lot of teens will rant their support of the death penalty here, if they comprehend at all that the death penalty is a human rights issue. Perhaps they'd do better to visit AI USA's web site instead of this one. So many kids are in desperate need of self respect.)

After I quit my last job at a major corporation, the payroll department kept sending me paychecks for about 2 months. These were direct deposits into my checking account, so I didn't take any action to accept them. I didn't spend the money, I just sat back wondering what would eventually happen. Eventually they figured out the mistake and sent me a letter asking me to pay them back about $8000.

Now it seems obvious that I would have to pay them back (and I've already written them a check), but I'm wondering from a legal standpoint, do I really have to pay them back? I'm about to mail the check, but I'm just wondering if there's some loophole here that I'm overlooking. Does anyone have any legal knowledge about this?

My 2 year old daughter is slowly being taken away from me and her brother because her father thinks it's best for her to go to school where he lives 2 hours away and he has a lawyer who can make that happen. My daughter is not better off with her father or his side of the family. They are alcoholics and drug addicts that come out smelling clean as a rose just because they are great actors. How can I keep him from ruining our daughter's life? He is a very selfish spitefull man who only thinks of himself and not what's best for his little girl. The life I have made for my children is the best anyone could wish for. I have worked very hard to pull us out of the ghetto when their father left us, and was able to buy a beautiful house out in the country. Everything is clean and fresh, and the people are kind and giving here. He still lives in the ghetto and thinks it's great. He drags her around from party to party and totally exhausts her. He's not good for her. How do I get my kid back?

Tonight my daughter, son and I went to see Walt Disney on Ice, since my husband was part of the lights crew (he works for the city, and Disney had local boys to run the spot-lights)after the show he took us on a shortcut through the backstage area.He has done this every show for the last three nights by himself. He even talked to someone who works for Disney, and they said it would be fine for him to cut through.Tonight, though,we were almost to the door when a lady stopped us.She was upset that I had my children backstage. My husband explained that he had been part of the lights crew, but she was adamant that no children are allowed backstage. We apologized and walked out the door.Driving home,a fuzzy memory jumped out at me;something about Walt Disney and kids not being able to see the performers out of costume. Can anyone give me some details, or am I mistaken?Could there be legal ramifications from our actions tonight?

the judge made his decision and write his original order than he ask the attorney to prepare the order regarding child support. After the prepared order was received the other party noticed that the attorney added a manufactured statements (made up by him )against the other party knowing it is false. However, this false statement by the attorney wasn't addressed by the judge in the original it was not an issue in court.I would assume that this is illegal this document the attorney changed is a legal document. The bad part is the judge rubber stamped the prepared order without his review. Now is this a criminal act by the attorney we know already he failed the ethics and disrespect the court.
Can he be sued for falsying a legal document ?
Hope somebody can answer.

In 1952 my father abandoned my mother and me. In 1953 my mother and I began living with another man. My half-sister was born to them in 1954. Her father abandoned us in 1963. In 1966 my mother divorced my father and married a third man, who has since died. My mother refuses to make a will and will probably die in testate. Is my illegitimate half-sister entitled to a share of the estate in this case? Virginia law applies.
