I was at walmart w/ my sis-n-law & cuz, they stole makeup and put in their bags. I went to pay not knowing that it was in there and got charged w/ theft & can no longer shop there. Does anyone know what I should do? My sis-n-law got charged too but not my cuz, she took off.

1. don't worry about not being able to shop at wal-mart. you're better off.
2. if they've charged you with a crime, you should have a public defender. he or she should easily be able to convince a judge that there's no proof you committed any crime.

There really isn't much you can do.

Wal-Mart, as with any other retailer, is a private business. And as such, they can refuse service to anyone they choose. I think you are a victim of "guilt by association". You could fight it, but I don't think shopping at Wal-Mart is really worth it.

Shop at Target.

You should get your sis inlaw to explain to wal-mart it wasn't you who took anything. If she refuses doing that, disown her as family.

You are guilty by association. You did not say your sis confessed for you. So I would be after my sister to clear my name since it is she who dishonored it and you.

If you could get them to sign an affidavit to this effect, and submit it to Wal*Mart, perhaps they would life the ban.
