I'm a Christian, and I don't have issues with it if done right.
If people that think that this is playing God, don't understand God. Nearly any tool can be used for good or bad. Besides, why should people legally enforce their religious beliefs on others?
With any action, we need to determine if it's consequences are good or bad for our society. I believe that there are many good things that can result from cloning and genetic engineering if done properly.

It is wrong. God intended for life to be created a certain way and that way has worked very well of the centuries. We should never try to interfer with that. There can be very serious implications to things like this.
Can you imagine if somebody had cloned Hitler- That is very scary.
or Michael Jackson like we need more than one of those running around. lol

I think it is wrong. But I belive it's being done. Did you know that, and this is true, I'm not joking, They are able to do head transplants now, isn't that sick. They still haven't figured out how to attach the spinal cord the person who recieves the head transplant is paralized, but they've actually done this, but the person who recieves the head transplant has to be consience through the whole proceedure, they actually did this to somebody. Isn't that sick, could you imagine, anyhow, I think they need to quit tampering with Gods natural work, or else the ones doing may find themselves very sorry later on down the line.

I think they are scientific processes with a lot of potential.
But we are a long way from having safe practical applications with humans. Not to mention the legal morass that such practices could cause.

I'm all for it. It can make plants that provide food from marginal land (like areas with brackish water), increase the protein in plants grown elsewhere, and even create new taste sensations. MMMM, strawberry papaya.

About cloning..I'm kind of undecided about this. I just ask myself, why do we need this? what good will it serve the general public? and I just can't think of a reason..

They are the logical step forward. It is just scientific advancement but people are afraid of change.
I am a right wing evangelical christian, I say that before I can address the issue of playing God. Only God is capable of being God. Science advancements are merely man using the tools God gave us.
