Conservatives ask FBI to investigate hotel porn,
a coalition of 13 conservative groups -- including the Family Research Council and Concerned Women for America -- took out full-page ads in some editions of USA Today earlier this month urging the Justice Department and FBI to investigate whether some of the pay-per-view movies widely available in hotels violate federal and state obscenity laws.

Take out all Bibles as well, I'm an Atheist and think it is part of a multi-level market scam!!! Brainwashing the world books should not be in hotel rooms.

From the house i own into an appartment. The land owner and My BEST friend did the unthinkable and while i was in the processe of moving unlawfully entered my home and took and destroyed all the personal property i had remaining withing the house. I confronted the land owner to find a truck load of my personal belonging still loaded in the back of the truck. I called the police and they said it was only a civil matter and i could not press criminal charges. It was mostly family pictures and my childerns colths and toys that were just flat out destoyed and I WANT JUSTICE you cant put a price on the things i lost. Even with no lease mt home is stilmy own private property that is not to be entered unless with my consent is it not? given the flat out cold nature of things like this i can honestly say if it is not it is a very crule INJUSTICE please help me find a way to let justice be served I would not wish this sort of shock and sadness upon anyone.

Is it legal to WATCH taped TV shows ?

Like a CNN footage of the planes hitting the tower on 9/11 I got from the net, or a piece from a show, or a piece from an interiew. I see those on the internet hosted by big sites linking to youtube. Does that mean it's legal ? So to sum it all up, is it legal to watch a show, documentary, whatever, taped from TV without giving it away to anyone, just for yourself? What about the people who used footage from TV to make documentaries, did they contact the TV station to ask for aprooval ?

Thanks in advance.

For some time now, Fox has been trying to release the 1966 Batman tv show onto DVD, but has been in a deadlock with Warner Bros. who wants a piece of the Bat-pie. Why is Warners fighting for something that isn't theirs? Sure, they own the Batman character, but what they own now has nothing to do with what Fox owned 40 years ago. Batman: The Movie (1966) was released to DVD with no problems in 2001, as was the original Batman movie serials of the 1940s by Columbia Pictures. Why is Warners withholding the show from the fans? Why is it taking this long for their lawyers to understand that they haven't a leg to stand on?

Okay, so you Trek geeks out there know that this was covered in the episode on Data. There's also "Bicentennial Man". Then there's the Isaac Asimov "I, Robot" writings. What I'm wondering is what y'all think of the idea... (after all, it may come sooner than we expect).

I have a GREAT say in what happens. I am curious as to what you might think should be done here, jail and a fine? Otherwize? Trust me I AM listening. She has oveer 40 priors *various*, so I am leaning in the direction of Psych Eval and contiuance w/ whatever programme they decide.....

I know freedom is the most precious luxury but if inmates are removed from society to be taught a lesson then why do they have cable, c.d players and the latest music? I knew a guy who said there was even a salad bar in the prison he was in. Why not just put salad on their plates? Inmates don't wear stripes (like on old tv shows). They wear Levi's and converse gymshoes. From the outside looking in, there doesn't seem to be alot of punishment going on. I'm sure jail life is tough but why do the imates get so many perks. Why not just make it boring and monotnous so people won't want to ever return. Or maybe prison is just big business.

I think the punishment should fit the crime. I know not all are realistic. But going to jail for some of the more serious crimes does not seem like enough.

On Monday i go to court to be sentenced. And the minimal sentence is 1 year in state prison and the max is 15 years. My lawyer says i will probley not get more then 5. Other then this time I have never been arested or been to jail. I have been on house arested since i plead guilty so i do not know what to expect. What will prison be like. Please give me any tips or a idea of what it will be like. I really want to go into this kind of knowing what to expect. I am told in the state jail you spend about 15-20 hours in your cell and the cells are 8x10. What will this be like? The crime was Grand Theft Auto.
