From the house i own into an appartment. The land owner and My BEST friend did the unthinkable and while i was in the processe of moving unlawfully entered my home and took and destroyed all the personal property i had remaining withing the house. I confronted the land owner to find a truck load of my personal belonging still loaded in the back of the truck. I called the police and they said it was only a civil matter and i could not press criminal charges. It was mostly family pictures and my childerns colths and toys that were just flat out destoyed and I WANT JUSTICE you cant put a price on the things i lost. Even with no lease mt home is stilmy own private property that is not to be entered unless with my consent is it not? given the flat out cold nature of things like this i can honestly say if it is not it is a very crule INJUSTICE please help me find a way to let justice be served I would not wish this sort of shock and sadness upon anyone.

Sounds like you RENT, not own. Sorry for your choice of "friends". Good Luck.

What you described is a criminal act. Someone else took property that belonged to you, without your permission. I am sure your friend will come up with an entirely different story.
If you had homeowners' insurance, you should consider submitting a theft claim.
Since the police refused to investigate, you should call the county District Attorney where the theft took place. You should also contact the mayor of the town where the theft took place, the town's solicitor and the town's chief of police. The job of a policeman is to investigate complaints. The job does not include making legal decisions.

So you was paying him rent for the land, Did he give you receipts for the rent? If not, then he probably didn't report it as income on his state and federal taxes. Even if he did give receipts he probably failed to report it. An anonymous tip to the IRS would make me feel good. It could also get you a percentage of what he cheated the IRS out of.

Did you get pictures of what he did or have witnesses to the destruction? I would take him to court and get a judgment and then put a lien against everything he owns. The lien is reported to the credit companies and his credit will go to hell real fast. His credit card interest rates will go to the max amount and all kinds of good things will happen to him. Especially good things will happen if he didn't report your rent as income.
