Situation taken from a judge's decision: The crew of an English yacht were cast away in a storm on the high seas. In this boat they had no supply of water and no supply of food....that on the 18th day they suggested that one should be sacrificed to save the rest. That next day they went to the boy put a knife into his throat and killed him; that the 3 men fed upon the body of the boy for 4 days; that on the 4th day after the act had been commited the boat was picked up by a passing vessel and they were rescued, still alive. They were carried to the port of Falmouth and committed for trial. If the men had not fed upon the body of the boy they would probably not have survived to be picked up and rescued, but would within the 4 days have died of famine. The boy being in a much weaker condition, was likely to have died before them.... The real question is whether killing under the the conditions set forth be or be not murder. What factors should the judge take into account?

Letter to State Legislators
OK, I just had to do it.

I compiled the email addresses for almost all of the state legislators in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Vermont!

Then, I wrote a letter.

Please cut and paste the following letter into an email and send it to each of the State Legislators' email addresses (see below).

Dear State Legislator,

I am writing to you because you are this nations last line of defense. President George W. Bush has committed numerous impeachable offenses. Unfortunately, the Republican-dominated U.S. House of Representatives has repeatedly shown

Do you think that the U.S. is to easy on the people who are killing each other? Should the cooks and dealers of meth spend life in jail? Only about 6% of users are able to walk away from the drug and not use again.

While big CEO'S continue to live high on the hog, the lowest of the working class are being chided because they want a raise in the min wage. I continue to see the haves get more and the have nots get less. Congress has had 5 increases since the min wage has went up. AND THEY DO NOTHING BUT FIGHT AMONG THEMSELVES. What does anyone else think.

My name is KENES and the presidents last name is BUSH, if you put them together and say it real fast ....well you get the idea.

Anyways I have been trying to get in touch with george bush for some time now, since I woke up, Also others I have been trying to get in touch with.

Because of the situation I often wonder whether or not I am on the same planet as some of the people I am trying to get in touch with. Or I wonder if there is that "truman show" effect that has been going on......

I was a member of a UCC (United Church of Christ denomination) church in a suburb of San Diego that sold its property. Before this happened, a member conveniently died and gave her house to the church. The church is now meeting out of this house. Isn't a house a house and a church a church? Doesn't the city have to approve such a thing in terms of zoning, etc? What about property taxes, which a church is normally exempt from? I doubt the Pastor went to the city beforehand. And, outwardly, there's no sign this house is a church, so he's probably trying to hide the fact. Is this legit?

The reason for some of the empty houses-we think no one is still living there . .and then we come and take over their house . ..I can feel some ghosts or people who have religiously ascended . .. but where else am I going to go? Maybe we should organize our houses to leave some space for these people to exist in

True story- I was dancing at my school's winter ball and the principal came up to me squeezed my neck and told me to "stop humping." It's funny because he never said anything to the girl I was dancing with not even a warning. I really want to know if he is legally allowed to stop me from dancing it kind of seems like a breech of my first amendment rights. Thanks

I just ignore the letters.

My state changed the law so that the max fine is $500. It used to be only $100.

I get a card in the mail about once every 18 months. I have been ignoring them for 22 years.

I bought a wedding dress from a retailer for the price hand written on a tag on the dress. I put down a 50% down payment and have a detailed receipt. Now the retailer tells me that the dress was mispriced and the real price is over 50% higher than what I agreed to. What are my options? Do I have to accept the new price or by putting money down is it legally binding? I also lost another dress I had put on hold but let go off when I paid for this dress.
