While big CEO'S continue to live high on the hog, the lowest of the working class are being chided because they want a raise in the min wage. I continue to see the haves get more and the have nots get less. Congress has had 5 increases since the min wage has went up. AND THEY DO NOTHING BUT FIGHT AMONG THEMSELVES. What does anyone else think.

the minimum wage should be increased to offset the cost of living. many states already have wages higher then the federal minimum wage, so i don't think it would really make that much of a difference. i live in Washington and our minimum wage goes up each year to offset the cost of living, it hasn't hurt the economy
and the places that hire minimum wage workers aren't closing.

no i dont think it should be raised and here is why. minimum wage jobs are usually on the lower end of the scale, like working fast food. usually the people that work those kind of jobs are uneducated. the government does not want to promote those kind of jobs to the work force because it lowers our output as a country. it actually hurts our economy to have an able adult working that kind of job. plus, it would cause inflation and that would pretty much defeat the purpose of giving the raise. but i do believe that congress should not be able to keep getting raises, the money could be used in a better area.

I think that the people who really hate minimum wage's current set, should all quit their jobs and find a way to start a business. You don't have to work for minimum wage. I understand you can feel trapped. But, people pull themselves out of poverty often enough to at least give ya hope.

Educate yourself a little, work to get another job. Invent something. Do what you have to do.

It must be increased. Have you ever lived on minimum wage? 5.15 an hour is worthless. 5.15 will get you a home on the streets with a lot of groceries and bus fares. That's about it.

Here is a novel idea! How about you work hard, and show your boss that you are worth more money. Then it would be benificial for him/her to give you a raise. Otherwise, you could go and work for a competitor.

$100 an hour minimum for all "working people" (whoever they are).

Then there'll be no more bitching about who has and who hasn't.
