Just imagine... What would the world be like without lawyers?

Without changing the current legal system, things would get extremely messy because the laws are too complex for most people to navigate without formal training.

If you changed the way the world worked, and reduced the complexity of the legal process, then disputes would be resolved through private arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution techniques. Procedure would play a smaller part of the process, and the winner would be the person who told the better story.

Which is how lawyers began -- people who knew how to represent a client, tell a story, and win a dispute. Then, because they got good at it, more procedure and structure was added to level the playing field, and so the cycle began.

Plenty of places don't have lawyers like Burma, North Korea, Somalia. Just imagine the world of hurt you'd be in a place like that. No law, no lawyers, no rule of law. You have equal rights till your weapon jams.

We won't be able to sue any one, if somebody runs off with your money - you either have to hunt them down and beat them up untill they give you the money or just let them go. The Government would keep creating their own laws giving people less rights ....... it would be interesting .......
