Why is everyone so against Mexicans? Or illegal aliens, is what some call them. mexicans are people too. We are all god's children! The U.S. is full of many different races and cultures. Many people are mixed with french or chinese or even jamaican. Just because someone is here with no papers does not make them a bad person, It makes them a brave and loyal person to their family. They come over here for their families, because they are poor. Some have no food, education, clothes, shoes. It's sad. If your children and family was like that ,would you do the same for them? Half of the Americans here would be too chicken to do that for their family. Some just don't care what happens to their family. What difference does it make if a person has papers or not?

Can we 'gather signatures' to put a referendum or voter-drafted bill on the Federal ballot as we can at the state level?

THAT would totally change the political dynamics...

I live in L.A. and the traffic problems are getting way out of control. Do pro-immigration advocates realize or even care about the severe overcrowding that illegal immigration is causing and will exponentially cause?

Y can't illegals understand that there was no immigration laws in existance when the settlers came over?

Do U know anything about American history?
Do U know that the Indians & the settlers got along afterwhile? Do U not understand that Texas won the war & even paid U guys money.. Quite a bit ... in the millions for the rest of it?

Do U not know what the American Flag stands for? Or the Anthem for that matter?

How hard is it for U to understand that B4 this country can gift U freedom, U must be documented?

Do U know the definition to illegal? Fraud? Amnesty? Laws?

Do U not think about the future concerning population & the 20 babies your pop'n out?

Do U not understand that this country is a nation of laws?

Do U actually believe that this world owes U something?

I could list many more. Shall you give me a reason to continue?

Some people are coming back at me like I just insulted the virgin mary or something...this is about facts and numbers and stuff, not about 'beaners' etc...I don't talk like that, think like that, this problem's got reform written all over it, what are your submissions if you have any, for fixing up mexico so they can be independent and successful etc?

If there is a draft (like during the VietNam era), the illegals will get to stay "home" (yeah right) in the U.S. while you and your friends fight and die for THEM? How are you going to feel about them then? Shouldn't they be forced to serve if they live here--just like we are?

A small amount of marijuana in your home or car can result in asset forfteiture where you lose one or the other. Why not confiscate farms and businesses that employ illegal aliens. Asset forfieture were a risk you know few people would risk employing illegals. And instead of costing money would result in a little tax relief for the government. Doubt would have to do it very often before employers got the message. What do you think? Property used in the commission of a crime? Farm or business? Hotel or Restaurant?

The part of spending time in prison, they will not give a prison sentence anymore, I guess they were hearing all the people that apposed illigal immigration talking about how strict their laws were and how they get prison time, then deportatiion, so they changed that part, they said migrants should not be treated like criminals. I wonder what changes their minds. All the talk that was going on over here, about their illegals. See Mexico can change when they want to, now if we can just get all the protesters to protest in Mexico maybe we can change more things about their country.

All during discussion of this immigration issue and rights due to whom, surely, if Mexico was a nice place to live, it is their country - they would be there. There is little to no employment available in Mexico, the economy is dirt poor - availability of services and goods are terribly limited. We are creating an economy in Iran - trying to feed Africa and cure AIDS? Why can we not address the root of the problem here and stop all of this anger?

Lets take an intermission and see all who can answer this one?

If undocumented is to non-citizen as documented is to legal, how many undocumented citizens are legal if the legals are documented?

If you think you've got that one...now try this one...

If 4 undocumented illegals are not citizens but legals are, how many of those 4 undocumented are non-citizens?

Basically, how can one of nothing be of something, when there is nothing of everything of something and then by the works of those with everything have nothing because those with nothing now have everything of something by those with nothing that had everything?

IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY ****** SENSE!!!

Citizens have all paperwork.. illegals don't! But, the legals have paid in for illegals which now processes illegals to have everything and the legals nothing!

Why? The only possible way that can work...is if their criminals!! DUH!!!

Go cart maybe you should spend time in jail to understand the meaning of incarseration and what the lack of freedom feels like, And what it feels like to live with 3 dirtbags in a 5 by 7 room or some one taking a dump next to your head while you sleep.

Illegal workers has deductions too, I know I was there, in Colorado, California, Chicago and Nebraska always pay FT, SS, ST, for 5 years and never see a penny of that money, is not in my SS and not in my taxes where the money went. I work with hundreds of Illegal Aliens do the math, may be 50% if illegal Aliens work only the season and go back to Mexico never claim SS, they do not do Income taxes forms true but they put the money in the system. We need to know the realyty before we express our oppinion

no matter which side of the immigration debate you are on the only solution to the problem is to document all illegal immigrants so they can pay taxes...with the war in iraq costing 300+billion so far and deficits as far as the eye can see and social security in trouble one day we will be damn glad they are here....if you agree you can collect your ss check.....if you disagree i hope you made good investments with your minimum wage job.

I have heard all the arguments of the pro-criminal supporters.....they're human beings too...they're only trying to make a better life for themselves, they sweat and break their backs working hard...(and my favorite)....they work for less wage doing s*** jobs that the rest of us won't do. My logical brain is hearing...slave labor is cool, let's use these people to do our dirty work, throw some chump change at them and do it in the name of compassion/god.
For real? Let's USE them, work them hard and sweaty and at the end of the day our crops will be at market and it will have cost us next to nothing. We'll get away with it by fooling them into believing that America respects them because they are hard working humans just trying to do better for themselves. Use them, abuse them and play them for fools, let them be our slaves, they volunteered afterall. Never mind they are criminals, turn them into slaves of America!!!! Forget about liberty and justice, slavery is the better choice.
