The part of spending time in prison, they will not give a prison sentence anymore, I guess they were hearing all the people that apposed illigal immigration talking about how strict their laws were and how they get prison time, then deportatiion, so they changed that part, they said migrants should not be treated like criminals. I wonder what changes their minds. All the talk that was going on over here, about their illegals. See Mexico can change when they want to, now if we can just get all the protesters to protest in Mexico maybe we can change more things about their country.

Where did you hear this? Show some proof. And even if they did change it, highly unlikely, will this change the brutal rapes and thefts condoned and participated in by the Mexican police?

Most likely the Nov Elections played a big part and the backlash against Mexico in the press actually forced them to do this. Do you really think with even passing a law the corrupt government officals will abide by the rules? Nothing will change it's all about the $$$$$$

Have they really changed it?
I saw yesterday that a couple of legislators had introduced a bill that would make that change, but thought it would take longer. Guess it was a little embarrassing when they tried to make it a moral issue and people kept whipping out copies of their own laws.
Legal residents still can't gather in political demonstrations, there, though, and I heard (but am not sure) that you can't hold a job there unless you can speak fluent Spanish as a foreigner, either.
I'd say they still have a long way to go. I think their people should show them the way.
( I also note that since they don't even give universal education to their OWN poor people, lessening the penalties on foreigners illegally there doesn't exactly have the same 'drain the services' effect our own lack of enforcement has here.)

When people start feeling sorry for illegal aliens. they forget about the key word, "Illegal."
Immigration laws are put in place to protect a country and the LEGAL citizens of that country.
A country can only support a certain number of people, when
that country is overcrowded and finically strapped the way of life declines.
I do not believe the US is right when it declares that a person is a US citizen because they were born in the US by illegal aliens.
The person born is a foreigner born by illegal aliens on foreign soil.
I live in a small town in IL. The main place of employment is Cargill, it employes mainly Hispanics. Most are illegal. Raids used to be performed by immigrations and dozens of illegals were removed every week. I don't think a raid has taken place there for at least 10 years. Cargill has never been punished for hiring them. Which, by law, they are suppose to be shut down by now.
Our town is over run with drugs, thefts, fights, our school system is broke, classes must be taught in Spanish and the welfare program is overtaxed.
Property prices have fallen drastically, a house that was built 9 years ago and sold for $89,000 was resold 2 years ago, the sellers told me that they felt lucky to have received the $65,000. that they got from it.
I had put 4 stepping stones on the boulavard in front of my house early this spring, 3 weeks ago they were stolen. I saw them in front of my Hispanic neighbor's yard ( 2 houses away)
when I told them I was taking them back, Pedro , the neighbor,
told me, " you threw them away, they were on the grass on the sidewalk."
Such is life in America now.

The other thing often missed in the arguement is that Mexico allows any one in legally. Unlike the US who allows very few in legally. I can come to Mexico to visit for months at a time where my wife was denied a tourist visa to attend a funeral for my grandfather. Current immigration laws are at a sad state when the wife of a US Citizen who passes a background check cant enter the US for 3 days to attend a funeral.

Good luck, they start mass protests that gain momentum on public sentiment which causes political trouble for those theives that are in office. The Mexican govenment will send in the military and start gunning down poor peasants and their children. It happened before and the government is not scared to do it again. Check out the links.
Plus guns are strickly controlled. Not like in the USA with the NRA. The Mexican government legislates laws that hinder Mexicans ownership of guns. Those bastards in government know the only way to control power is to use the military against its own people.

There is nothing wrong with Mexicans coming to the U.S., They come over here because they have families that are starving and there are no good jobs in mexico. The food there is not real safe either. Someone who will go to another country and chance getting caught, or dying to get there , just for their family---now that's brave, and they really love their family. I respect that, that's more than half of the people here do for their families!

Yes..I saw that on the news...They changed it(or will vote on it soon) because they saw how hypocritical they are in trying to challenge Americas enforcement of immigration laws...Now all they have to do is make a law that actually benefits the Mexican people.

First of all, they are looking at it, they didn't change anything. Second, they don't have the numbers we do. Third, it doesn't follow there BS argument of 'human rights' where they are required to receive and employ anyone that goes to that country. Fourth, it's a political statement to get people to sympathize with them to make our country take in even more of them - 50 million more want to come up here.
It's BS and changes nothing.
IT DOES SHOW HOWEVER IF THEY ALL PACK UP AND GO BACK THEY CAN START CHANGING THEIR OWN GOVERNMENT!!
