lol next2last answer...that's just it...'la raza' isn't a country. The literal translation of 'viva la raza' is 'long live the race'. Mexico's a country. Hispanics are the race, here. Trick question, I know, I know...

they are a racist group but its politically incorrect to label them as one. people just sya they are "promoting thier culture"

they come to the USA for a better life then want to transform it into the same shithole that they left.

I think so...just from going to one of their web sites....man they sure seem racist to me....and the ones that are saying they are just celebrating their culture and such, that is just some BS...seriously...they have probably never been to a la raza web site or read up on anything about la raza. From what I have seen on line and on tv and heard a couple of personal stories I have come to the conclusion that "la raza" is just as racist as the klan...the difference is 1. one group is white 2. the other group is mexican 3. the klan is shunned where as la raza is accepted by the left and others.....
celebrating culture...now that is a laugh!!

It started that way, and it has members who use it to organize that way, and it has links to groups that most definitely are.

Having said that, I think most members don't think of it as a racist group any more than Cub Scouts think of their group as a paramilitary unit, which, when you think about it, is kinda what it came from.

Mecha is one thing, and that I do kind of put up with the Klan, even though it claims a gloss for itself now that it is trying to mainstream. I don't think La Raza falls into the same group any more, although some of its members do.

It's more like the Minutemen than the Klan, but with family clubs attached. Mind you, some of the La Raza types group the Minutemen with the Klan just as you group La Raza with the Klan, and I doubt they will like that comparison.

Darling there is aBIG diference between the klan and la raza, the latter is a means of identyfying Hispanics. Has nada to do with rascisim , the klan is very sick group of people that should go back to Germany, because in this here 21st century there is no room for their hatred.l

Angel Gutierrez,
Professor, University of Texas, Arlington-
Founder of the La Raza Unida political party -
"We have an aging white America.
They are not making babies.
They are dying.
The explosion is in our population . . .
They are shitting in their pants with fear...
I love it.
We have got to eliminate the gringo,
and what I mean by that is,
if the worst comes to the worst,
we have got to kill him."

These Ideals Have Been Taught
On Schools And Campuses In The USA
For More Than 30 Years

A leading Aztlan group
is the Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan,
known by its Spanish acronym MEChA.

Like many other Hispanic groups,
MEChA came out of the "Brown Power" movement
of the late '60s. Its founding motto was,
"For those in the race, everything.
For those outside the race, nothing."

Closer to the mainstream is the Aztlan movement,
which claims Aztec and Spanish ancestry
and wants only the western half of the U.S. for
"LA RAZA de Bronze."

MEChA and the LA RAZA movement teach that
Colorado, California, Arizona, Texas, Utah,
New Mexico, Oregon and parts of Washington State
make up an area known as "AZTLAN" --
A fictional ancestral homeland of the Aztecs
before Europeans arrived in North America.

As such, it belongs to the followers of MEChA.
These are all areas America should surrender to "La Raza"
once enough immigrants, legal or illegal, enter
to claim a majority, as in Los Angeles.
The current borders of the United States will be extinguished.

Posing as a student group,
MEChA tends to be dominated by immigrants' children
and descendants, not immigrants themselves.
But the views of most Mexicans aren't far away from MEChA's.

They openly state
they have "The armor, the infantry and the artillery"
to wage war here.

This video PROVES beyond any doubt,
the people marching in our streets
under Mexican and other foreign flags,
over pending immigration legislation,
are engaged in a WAR against our nation.

The U.S. Government has failed its duty
to protect this land from these invaders;
invaders who are openly stating they intend to takeover
a portion of this land and carve out their own
"Mestizo nation of Aztlan."

No... Being Mexican isn't a race it's a nationality and they are free to support their country by saying "viva la raza"-- which is the same exact thing as you having a "God Bless USA" bumper sticker...

The National Council for 'La Raza' is kind of like the 'ACLU'. Is the ACLU racist? 'La Raza' works for improving civil rights and opportunities of the Latinos. It doesn't have anything to do with lowering the respect of other races.

"La Raza" translates to "The Race", It is a Hispanic organization, comprised of mainly Hispanics & Latinos. I know what they desire. I know what they are about. It is racism on a grand scale, pure & simple.

There's a difference between supporting a culture, and trying to destroy all other cultures.

Most of the people I know in various chapters of La Raza are simply trying to celebrate their heritage. They are quite happy to let everyone else celebrate their own heritages.

As opposed to the KKK, who wants to destroy anyone of a different heritage. See the difference?

Yes, they are racist! They hate Americans, especially WHITE Americans and their plans are to systematically infiltrate our communities, schools, colleges, governmental offices< and promote themselves within. Teach their racist hate, multiply at the American taxpayers expense (welfare), become the majority, vote in THEIR people. That is why you see so many of them on welfare having so many babies!

La Raza=the race (nothing BUT racism!)

i have a different opinion,la raza was made by Mexican-Americans about there way of life,i dont hear about them killing people because of there skin color its more like they are defending themselves.it picked up on the other side of the borders by Mexicans and they do use the term.but i think its more of a Chicano thing.
