Yes it hurt our economy. The money was not spent in our country, they took jobs that citizens could have had and they did not pay taxes.

Actually, the Mexicans are very visible, over half are under educated and young, males, perfect for the gangbanger mentality... screw the money, Mexico's largest source of income, I like how they won't work for less than $12.00 per hour!
That helps me to justify getting $75 per hour, when I repair your virus-magnet POS Microsoft computer!
But, the guys that are really causing a huge impact on my job availability are all the Gdamned Canucks! Damn, they look like me, talk like me, and are as highly educated as most of us semi-professionals!
The Canadians come down to 'visit' and see the strong Dollar, that is 4 U.S. Dollars to 5 Canadian Dollars, take MY job, and can then afford more easily to send huge sums of ca$h home, while they buy up the real estate around here!

Yes, I think it hurts our economy and helps the Mexican economy instead. Do you know why they send money back? It's to support their families. When someone comes over here, most of the familiy is left behind because it is too dangerous for women and small children to cross illegally. A lot of people die and are raped each year. If we would open up our borders and allow these people to bring their familiy with them, the money would stay in the US.

I think it does hurt our economy, BUT who am I to say where someone sends their money? I would probably do the same thing. (send money to family members that need it)
What I don't like about it is, the Government of Mexico banking on that money coming in....actually depending on that money coming in.

Actually I see "Western Union", an American company, getting richer and richer. Most of the illegals send their money through Western Union and they charge a very high percent for all those transactions, which goes directly to their account. Why don't we complain about Western Union?

Ask the twenty two million Americans that they have taken jobs from,OR maybe all their families that they can know longer support. Lets see that's an average family of 5 per house hold that makes what one million two hundred thousand that are affected. Need I say more.

Well, it's your Congress's fault. If these people were legalized, they would invest all their money here.
I know because I send all my savings home too. I get better interest rate there, plus here I don't feel secure here...
