you just say ...its harder on cubans ..cause its so far away, but if a cuban touches foot on land in the US they get to stay. So much for paperwork and rules.

Most Cubans fall into the class of Refugee. Refugee status is much easier to get citizenship. Besides, most Cubans WANT to become Americans. That's diff. than with Mexicans. for example.
The other side of this is that the most Cubans that have come into this country as refugees have done so in Florida, where the mass of Cuban immigrants got together and voted to allow any Cuban person who simply touches American soil before being apprehended as an illegal alien, be given automatic citizenship.
I don't know if you have visited Florida, spec: South Beach and down town Miami but it is a filthy, dangerous ghetto community because of the influx of refugee Haitians and Cubans.
I for one, don't want to see that happen anywhere else in the USA.
I believe it is an outrage to ALL Americans that this sort of thang is happening in our country. Apparently many others here in the USA feel the same way.
I have no problem with legitimate, legal immigration controled by our department of Immigration who I believe has America's best interests at heart when allowing those in/citizenship, who are given that opportunity legally.
And by the way, if you are born in/on American soil, you are an American. Last time I checked, one could not have duel citizenship as an adult. You are either American or you are Cuban. Not both.

huh? Cuban are the only ones that can stay legally as long as they make it to the shore. How is that being harder on Cubans? Cubans are legal, the millions of illegals are the ones I have problems with. I would like them gone. We cant deport them all, but we can deny services to them and jail anyone who employs them.

Cubans are crybabies. Always complaining how hard they had it back in Cuba. BS! I've known tons of Cubans, and their main complaint is "not enough food" there. Yet they look much healthier when they just arrived, then after a year or so in the states (fat and unhealthy).

US is NOT harder on Cubans. They actually have preference to them because of Castro in power. The US has always been harder on mexican and central american people.

Er... uh... I think the Cuban government has gunboats that it uses to keep Cubans from leaving the country... all the Mexican government has is a nearly dry river.

Why not Indians, Bosnians, Germans, etc..?
They have to come into this country LEGALLY. They also have to renew their Visas and Work Permits when they are due.
And the Mexicans say they aren't getting "preferential treatment" !
