why cant the Americans say something like this: Any illegal mexicans in the US have to get out by a given date, if the illigal mexicans are still in the US by the given date, they can be punished or killed. that would scare most of the mexicans away, why cant americans think of something like that?

they could spend billions of dollars on space programs, but they're complaining about mexicans, even though a high security wall would only cost them a fraction of the space program money. why is that?

Last I heard it was $800. for Mexicans. I don't know the cost for illegals from other countries. An estimated 3000 cross our border into AZ every single day, multiply that by $800. Is that really 2.4 million $$$$ a day it's costing Us to send them back? Just from Arizona alone, if we catch them all anyway! It's freakn outrageous! And how many hospitals did sealrborders say closed in AZ this year due to the costs of illegal health care? I don't see the cost effectiveness in this at all. Seems to me that taking Mexico may still be the best solution. Maybe it's part of the Government agenda already and we really are being distracted for a greater deception as some of you have suggested.

I simply cannot imagine the price the American taxpayers would pay to build a wall along the entire Mexican border. I also cannot imagine any group of American citizens building that wall for minimum wage, which is probably what our government would except a bid for. Who do you think would build the wall? Would it be the American citizens who are so opposed to the Illegal Mexicans staying here? Or... Would the Illegal Mexicans end up being hired by a sub contractor, who won the low bid, to build the wall? Just a thought to ponder...

Legals are punished for breaking the law, what makes ILLEGAL entry not grounds for punishment?

Pro illegals compare a traffic violation with breaking federal law by illegal entry into the U.S., rape, murder, child molestation, driving without insurance, fleeing the scene on an accident, and a host of other infractions committed by illegals.

Yeah, I guess my traffic violation is the same as all of the types of crimes mentioned above.

Isn’t that another LAME comparison to support illegal immigration?

Most of the answers here are based on the fact that illegals have broken the law. Hmmm. Have you ever got a traffic ticket? How about known a friend who landed in jail on some B.S. charge? Illegals pay traffic fines and go to jail. Most have pssports, but no visa. After looking at the entire picture why is the focus on law breakers?

When we visit other countries most british visitors respect where they are, and conduct themselves accordingly.
So why are the british expected to put up and shut up at home when others flaunt there rights to be here

A lot of racists say that black people should go back to africa, but they also say only americans that were born in america should be here. That makes no sense since most black people are born in america, what is their logic?

I know many illegal Mexicans. They work and live here. They do not send money home to Mexico. They do not recieve state benefits. They pay for medical bills, food, cable T.V. Electricity, Cell phone use, Gas, gasoline, auto ins., etc. How is it that most of the comments that I've read here disrespect all illegals? I am an American, White woman. I was born in California. After my divorce I had to get food stamps because my darling ex refused to help support his 3 sons.Yes, I have a decent job making good money. My Illegal boyfriend helps us. I no longer need food stamps, or any other state aid because he WORKS 2 jobs and helps pick up the slack. And get this, he doesn't even live with us! Oh, and for the record,he knows English, has a bank account and cannot get citizenship although he's been here 6 yrs. So, you tell me... Do ALL illegal Mexicans hurt our economy. If you think so, then PLEASE EXPLAIN !

Yesterday (the 4th of July) I was driving down a major business road in my town. I noticed something rather...odd, to say the least. I saw two Mexican restaurants, ran and operated by Mexicans, that were closed all day while all of the American restaurants around them were open. Isn't it strange that the Mexicans are celebrating and giving their employees the 4th of July off while the Americans are making their employees work? Or is that the American way now...going after the allmighty dollar?

My wife asked this question. Do the hispanic immigrants celebrate the 4th of July as we do? We celebrate Cinco de Mayo with them, so do they celbrate with us?
