Last I heard it was $800. for Mexicans. I don't know the cost for illegals from other countries. An estimated 3000 cross our border into AZ every single day, multiply that by $800. Is that really 2.4 million $$$$ a day it's costing Us to send them back? Just from Arizona alone, if we catch them all anyway! It's freakn outrageous! And how many hospitals did sealrborders say closed in AZ this year due to the costs of illegal health care? I don't see the cost effectiveness in this at all. Seems to me that taking Mexico may still be the best solution. Maybe it's part of the Government agenda already and we really are being distracted for a greater deception as some of you have suggested.

booboo is an idiot! Anyway, that said, I don't want Mexico. Someone in your last question about invading Mexico pointed out that all the poor (which is most of them) in Mexico would automatically qualify for our social services that they have not paid into. That's just one reason. I know the cost of illegal immigration, the biggest cost being the loss of our soverienty. Once we enforce our borders properly the costs will drop, there will simply not be as many trying to come over. The reason that there are so many coming in is because there is a really good chance they will make it and once they are in, they are home free. Take that away, and they won't try as often. I still say, I don't want Mexico. The cost of taking it and fixing it, no thanks. We may gain some respect from the people there though if we go kick their *** real good. lol

The problem is that if we take them over we have to provide the universal education they should be providing their own people. That is why they come. That is why our opportunities are better. We would have to start the day we took them over, and how would we do that? The problem is that our schools and services can't take them all.

The cost of sending them back is much less than keeping them. However, I think the first thing we need to do is seal the border and set up an employer database that would support real employer sanctions and interior enforcement. In the time while that is underway we can discuss the best thing to do.

If you want to see how close we are to a North American merger, however, take a look at this. http://www.spp.gov/

Well, I dont understand what you mean. It doesnt cost anything for US to send them back if that is what you are asking. I dont think there is any need to "take" mexico since their people are already crossing our border in record numbers - dont you think there is a reason for that? Probably not the easiest place to survive down there wouldnt you say?

As far as what it costs us "Americans" , the highest expenses that comes out of our taxes that has anything to do with any of the illegal immigrants in our country comes from harboring them in our prison systems.

But then you have to stop to think of how much it cost to harbor a prisoner and why we would prefer keeping them in our prison system instead of just taking them back home to their own.

Why would our government prefer giving them amnesty over sending them back?

Why do some corporations prefer hiring Illegal Immigrants as opposed to legal citizens?

Why do Illegal Immigrants get free healthcare as opposed to our own citizens??

Why is about 3/4 of the world pretty much disgusted with us?

It is costin g us much more (than $800) to allow them to come and stay in the United States. They are a severe drain on our economy when we provide them with health care, education, social services and other benefits and get nothing or little in return. They don't pay taxes and take away jobs - even though some jobs are not the most desired. Most of the money they earn is sent back to their families in Mexico. We must secure our borders before it is too late.

That's a heck of alot cheaper than keeping them here. I'll take the $800. And if we actually enforced what laws we have and made harsher laws(examples: BIG fines for employers, NO social services, ENGLISH only, only EMERGENCY medical care, enforce laws in every city no city is above federal law and therefore none is allowed to be a safe haven, enforced criminal charges for those who aid and abet illegals, if you come illegally and get caught, you will NEVER be eligible for citizenship or a visa).
If they can't get a job, social services, or anything else they will
1) Probably not come, since they can't get a job.
2) If they are here illegally already, they may actually "self deport"
which is free for us.

I have no idea of the cost. I am certain however that it is not cost effective for us to deport. I am from So cal and have been watching people cross the border since the 1960's. Never have I seen such a media frenzy. Could there be an election coming up soon? LOL !!!

WAY TOO MUCH!!!!!, I would rather send them back than pay the price of keeping them here, besides as long as were sending them back we are opening up jobs and creating new ones for LEGAL citizens, Americans first!!!! As far as taking over Mexico, why not, it may be a little radical but I for one can see potential for economic growth which is an entirely separate subject so wont get into it. Stoker where do you think all the money comes from for these government jobs(i.e border patrol, Immigration offices......) and boo you cant sue an illegal but they can sue you, you need to get a clue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay,so if it's $800 to send them back, why not let them become legal? They pay a reduced fine and get to stay. That way the government would get money from them instead of giving money away.

I don't live in AZ,but my hospitals are working just fine.If you don't pay your bill, they send you to court. And in my county hosp.,if you don't have insurance, then you have to pay something on your bill before you leave. But anyways,Americans are #1 for not paying our hospital bills.Thats why our credit is so bad and most credit companies even over look hospital bills now,as long as they don't exceed a certain amount.

There are at LEAST three, that i know of that have closed!!! Also, the hospitals are having trouble getting doctors and nurses to work the E.R.'s,because they know there's a chance they will not get paid, because of the way ILLEGALS abuse our medical system!!!
It would actually be CHEAPER on the taxpayers,to DEPORT them ALL!! Actually though, all we have to do is go after the EMPLOYERS of illegals!!! NO JOBS-NO ILLEGALS!!!

It costs us only a fraction of what it costs for many of them to stay here---as you point out, health care alone is an unending overwhelming cost.
I have no problem with immigration----LEGAL immigration.
