I simply cannot imagine the price the American taxpayers would pay to build a wall along the entire Mexican border. I also cannot imagine any group of American citizens building that wall for minimum wage, which is probably what our government would except a bid for. Who do you think would build the wall? Would it be the American citizens who are so opposed to the Illegal Mexicans staying here? Or... Would the Illegal Mexicans end up being hired by a sub contractor, who won the low bid, to build the wall? Just a thought to ponder...

it would definitely be the illegal aliens coming here looking for work who would build the wall to keep out their countrymen. but i say F U C K N O to a wall because immigrants are what keep this country running on a a basic level.

Nothing compares to the price American's pay to support all the illegal immigrants that are already here. I'd build a wall so high and so long, it would rival the Great Wall of China, only I would put a moat all along full of pirana! chomp chomp --

I am all for immigrants coming to this country, but only by doing it legally.

If the Federal government would obey the laws of this country regarding illegal immigrants, we would'nt need a wall. Since they are breaking the law, they should make restitution to the border states, so they can build the wall at the governments expense.

What's wrong with that? I see nothing wrong with wanting to protect our country from the illegal and criminal element. The cost would be less that what these illegals who come here and break our laws, use fake and stolen ID (think of the problems that causes for the real person), etc. etc. Another benefit of such a wall would be helping to deter the drug trafficking come across the border and aid in our national security. As it is, anyone can come across the border and not only be here illegally, which makes them a criminal, but they are also a potential threat to our national security.

1. Get illegals to build the wall for coming here illegally
2. The money saved on trying to support illegals will be greater than the cost of the wall.

The price is much less than the cost to our schools and social services of illegal immigration. Currently the Minutemen and the National Guard are building fences. The Minutemen's fence is better.

To tell you the truth, I don't care who builds it. I just want it fast.

Really? I'll help build it for FREE. So will my husband and his family(who happen to be from Mexico legally). I also have several bricks from a home remodeling project we did recently( and no, we didn't hire anyone). I'll be glad to donate. You will be surprised what Americans can do when they stop b**thing about how hard and impossible things are.

No...they're going to hire Mexicans to build it, but American taxpayers will have to MAINTAIN it! Didn't you get that memo?
