Immigration - July 2006

Dudes, You are crazy. This is now a civilized nation. The worlds first democracy. We can only absorb so many people from all over the world. For people that think logically, they understand that a country can only take so many people at a time. But in our case, especially in the Los Angeles area that I live in, is literally being invaded. No joke. If you do not believe me, come visit me, I will show you the reprecussions of this invasion from Mexico. I love all people, but for the sake of the citizens of the United States, the tax payers, we need to stop the invasion. And if you want to hate on me for calling it an invasion, well quit being ignorant. the government says we have like twelve million illegals here, but its really like 19 million. People say we invaded iraq. We have like 300,000 troops there. nothing close to what is going on here.

Instead of enjoying there independance like we do they turn it into a day to show the USA (who provides military safety to them at no charge) how they are ungrateful and cannot respect this nation. If it is a question about immigration, they need to respect that they are not the only immigrants and that the mexican flag isn't the flag to hold up when you are trying to become an American. Also boycotting? Are they trying to be free of thier dependance on the US for a day- so what; they all buy gass and food the day prior and the day following? Can't they do anything better than half-efforted.
I never disliked them until this last 1st of may with thier ugly disrespect for our nation. I will vote against them now and will not support mexican americans any more. Not employing them nor thier businesses.
I don't see the Japanese or Chinese boycotting this nation. Nor any other immigrants. Nor do I see them holding up another flag here. I thought this was America and we were Americans.

Being a disable army vet, it made me angry. One of my closest friends is Mexican american, but that flag made me feel like American was being taken over by force.

I hate it when they do that. I never saw no mexican lynched on no tree. Here in dallas, they ask us blacks to support there marches, but I never saw on mexican on tv, in books or ever speaking for black rights and freedoms. I only saw the brave whites who who should us love like John Brown.

I have decided to apply for a new nationality, i'm studying in London but i'm not British. Some have advised me to apply for a Canadian Nationality and my Aussie friends are enthusiatic about Australia. Well let's see I think I hate my own race which are mexicans for some reason, no wait there are reasons all of them are lazy bald idiots who throw gang signs and ruin our neighborhoods and shoot innocent people it just makes me feel so filthy I don't know why I mean my parents are citizens they're not on welfare or anything they know english in fact they're whitewashed even though they were born in mexico and to tell you the truth I'm happy that they are most mexican parents are idiots who don't know what to do with their children that they trun into gangsters I mean its not my fault my stupid great great great great grandfather fled Russia and settled in mexico why couldn't he choose England or Germany Jesus Christ I don't even know what to do anymore it even affects me in school and to tell you the truth I prefer white girls alot of the mexican girls at my school are whores who get a new boyfriend every 2 weeks im not saying all of them are that way do I have a reason to be ashamed?

Our family pet is dying......I posted (hoping for someone to tell me.......something good). Instead I get an anti-illegal comparing my dog's life to the immigration crisis. My dog is VERY important.....believe that.....but not nearly as important as this subject. When people use analogies (like my dog's tumor) in their GAME.....what does that do? What does that do? So my question to ALL of you.....does this help? I am smart, educated and would probably be an asset to your cause.......what did this do and how did it help your cause?

i am currently in nz wanting to travel back to the uk for a holiday, my british passport went thru the washing machine and is now poo. when i apply for my new passport do i need to inform nz immigration? or will all my relevent visas etc be automatically put on my new passport? or will the britsh embassy sort this out??

My daughters father is from another country, and he has dual citizenship. He was in prison for the past 7 years, and was recently released. He lives in another part of our state, and does not see her very often, but he recently called me out of the blue very late at night to tell me he was here in my town, and wanted to see her. When I took her to see him, he was acting very suspicious, and I just had a really bad feeling about the whole thing. To summarize, he wanted me to let her go spend the night with him, but did not want me to know where, and he kept making strange comments to her, like, don't worry, daddy is trying to make it so I can be with you more. Is it just me, or does anyone else think that his plan to come and see her might have been to try to steal her from me and disappear? I know this might sound strange, and that you don't have all the facts, but trust me when I tell you, I had a really icky feeling about the whole thing. Oh and HELL NO I didn't let her go.

Well it's simple, the US wants them here. I am in management and there is one simple way to not hire illegals. Do a simple background check and it will tell you if their social # is good or if they have an ID or Driver's License number. It really is that simple!

Now, all you ignorant people should do some research b-4 answering such a simple question. The government wants them here, that is why they are here. Do a simple background check and they will not be able to get jobs HERE! Then, they will not come or will have to leave as they will go hungry.

The real question is, why doesn't the US make background checks a must for employment and in that same manner subsidice such a background check. Truth is... The economy needs them. If you now pay $1 for a pound of any vegetable, would you like to pay 3 or 4 dollars for the same quality product if a lazy American (white, black, hispanic or whatever he/she is) were to pick the same vegetable?

How can someone from another country come to the U.S. and go to college when they cant possibly prove they went to the required courses in High School. This is just not about hispanics. How can people come from other countries and get jobs as Dr. and Nurses and use the transcripts from other countries colleges? I did not know this was legal until recently.

Do you think, on the next cencus maybe (maybe just a mandatory question on the income tax form), we have a mandatory question that reads like this:
do you agree or disagree that the laws (including immigration laws) should be upheld?

if the person agrees, then that person is allowed to avail himself/herself of protection of the law.
and anyone who thinks that the laws should not be upheld, should not be allowed to ask for any type of protection of the law.

Do you think THAT would change anyone's mind?

I'm Canadian and my American boyfriend and I wish to get married and live in the states. We do not live together currently. Apparently I have two options, a spousal visa or a fiance visa. Either seems just terrible, far too drawn-out, and exceedingly expensive. I would need to work almost right away. If you have experienced this yourself, please let me know if you had many problems or if you would have done it some other way. Also, the approximate total cost. Please fill me in with as many details as possible!
All help is appreciated, as this has to be the biggest downer on what should be a happy time!
