Dudes, You are crazy. This is now a civilized nation. The worlds first democracy. We can only absorb so many people from all over the world. For people that think logically, they understand that a country can only take so many people at a time. But in our case, especially in the Los Angeles area that I live in, is literally being invaded. No joke. If you do not believe me, come visit me, I will show you the reprecussions of this invasion from Mexico. I love all people, but for the sake of the citizens of the United States, the tax payers, we need to stop the invasion. And if you want to hate on me for calling it an invasion, well quit being ignorant. the government says we have like twelve million illegals here, but its really like 19 million. People say we invaded iraq. We have like 300,000 troops there. nothing close to what is going on here.

I have lived in SO CALIFORNIA for 35 yrs and have seen many citiesI.E. BELL, MONTERY PARK SANTA FE SPRINGS , WHITTIER etc, become so hispanic that in some Mcdonalds the menu is in spanish.Whats wrong with this?I am in a country of supposed english speakers, but not any more in parts of it.Why dont they learn english? Easy they dont have to or want to!So they wont.It does not help that many think of this as MEXICO .Well ALSACE -LORRAINE was german once and is now a part of France.If they had all these germans coming over at the rate the Mexicans are and not learinig french and staying german,it would be war.This invasion may not be armed but it is still an invasion.It will not stop because the Mexican govt is to dependant on remittances,but in someways thats ok because we are getting all their hardest working and boldest people.My father in law is Mexican and was a teacher for 20 some years,that is one less teacher for Mexico huh?Because if he had the same oppurtunity there thats what he would have done.For the people who think we took MEXICOS best land, if the border was like in the 1800s they would be coming west to east .Its their spanish heritage that makes thier govt so corrupt and uncaring for the needs of its people.Tell me what american would not jump the border if we were in the same predicament,I.E. no hope to feed your family,no decent jobs etc. Blame the govt, not the people,I think we should make them the 51st state and force them to learn english if things dont change.

Did you never have a history class or hear stories about your ancestors??????this is a land of immigrants and some didn't have a choice. We ALL pay taxes on our wages. why do people always bring that up?? I agree, ideally, that all immigrants should come here, legally, but here where I live, i am very grateful for the work that all of the illegals do, and i have hoed sugar beets, rode the combine, drove truck in the harvest, cut potato seed and many other jobs along side these "illegals", and never, never, ever saw a "white" man who wasn't part of the farmers family work these jobs. I have "brothers" who would rather be jobless and get welfare (unlike the "illegals" who don't qualify) than to work at $5.15 an hour doing these back breaking, hand callousing jobs. Thanks again to these hard working men and women who come here and help keep our towns and farms in business. Are you willing to pay more for your sugar or potato, of all types from french fries and hash browns to baked potatoes.

Couldnt agree more with you. Where i used to live at there was a bar across the street that i used to play pole at all the time but now you cant even go into the bar without being a minority and having to listen to salsa music. Or if you are a american woman try walking down the street.....they will yell vulgar things out the windows of there vans that are filled with 20 other mexicans and then drives away. I guess that if you are going to live illegally in someone elses country you should at least respect the people!

We are a land of immigrants! This great country has been founded on all these immigrants. I have no problem with anyone wanting to come here but do it LEGALLY! Why can't people understand this. If you are here legally you can stay. If you are here illegally go back to where you came.Why is the gov't having such a difficult time? Do what you have to do! Right is Right and Wrong is Wrong.

Welcome to all the Legal Immigrants. Its only the illegals I want out.
If it wasn't for the fact that they want US to learn Spanish I really don't think there would be all this ruckus. I know a store in my old hometown, Omaha, NE that REQUIRED all their employees to learn Spanish or be fired. THAT'S WRONG!!!! and one of the things that really burns me up.
I really think that if they just learned English there would not be people like me so upset.
THIS IS AMERICA, WE SPEAK ENGLISH HERE!!! If we move to another country don't we have to learn their language? YES we do.( even though most of the world does speak English, EXCEPT MEXICO!!!)
Keeping Spanish as your native language is fine. Even teach it to your children, BUT LEARN ENGLISH!
IF they (illegals) would just learn English they would probably blend in and no one would notice or care.

PS: in 1974 I was in basic traning and got to visit Santanio Texas and the Alomo. There were so many Mexicans at THAT time that I realized we lost the battle.

Others for several years now have come here legally. But these people feel that they are above the law and cane just walking into our country and demand what OUR citizens and those that are here legally have. They have no respect for OUR laws or for OUR country. They just want to sponge off of us and then throw a fit when WE demand that US law be enforced and these criminals be kicked out. They are criminals and have no intentions of following OUR laws and are a MAJOR threat to NATIONAL SECURITY. People like this neither DESERVE or are WORTHY to be here.

I am and I'm glad to see you are on the right side. Have you noticed how they forget to mention that our ancestors didn't have to cross illegally and that they didn't carry around another flag? Also, they forget to mention that our ancestors ASSIMILATED and didn't try to take over. They learned the language here and RESPECTED the people already here. They didn't behave like the trash you see coming from Mexico.

I personally agree. We do have borders and immigration laws. Many people followed the rules to come here, waited and did the paperwork to get citizenship here. Why should others who broke the law get a free ride?
