yesterday, who worked for a company that provides services to Camp Pendleton marine corps base??? They were all mexicans. "Agents were looking for 72 others, of whom they think at least 50 of them actually worked at Camp Pendleton. Although the contract ended last year, they think it's possible they may have gained access to the base using their employee i.d. cards". "The arrests are part of an ICE clampdown on private contracters". "Since 2003,ICE has screened some 900 companys connected to the military, and nearly 30% employed ILLEGALS,including two companys hired to repair warships." "It is a significant problem,we have no way of knowing what their true identity is or what their motives are for using FAKE i.d.'s."
GEE,this makes me feel REALLY safe!!! NOT!!!

our laws enforced? It has nothing to do with those peoples race! If they are all of one race it is b/c they are all from a country that is by and large one race and is NOT the issue.

what do you think about the president plans to send the immigrates back from which they came?Do you think it wil hurt our economy and local business that had people that fall under the catorgy known "illegal cititzens"as employees?
the plan is basicaly to send these people back to there home land and let them(in my words) stand in a line which only X amount people can return when they fill out paper work to have thier names in the U.S. system and then they have know english but this the mistake i think or thing they didn't really discuss....
They have pen pointed one race as you may know they are hispanics but they are not the only ones who live here in the U.S. illegally. But my point that I've come across is - what about they illegal citizens that had children? their children are born here so therfore making them U.S. citizen. So if their parents are here illegally does the child have to go with the parent despite of them probably already knowing english and our customs.

I live in Colorado. I was told this by a Chicana married to a Mexican immigrant. She says that if an immigrant who is already a naturalized citizen is convicted of domestic violence, he can have his citizenship revoked. It seems to me this is a Federal level, and a violation of citizen's rights to revoke for anything less than spionage and/or treason. What do you know?

There has been a lot of discussion going on about illegal immigrants, and opinions about them vary greatly. However, I want to ask American people about their views on LEGAL immigrants. There's plenty of people in the US who are coming legally and staying legally (applying for green cards etc). They also take jobs, usually better ones than the illegal folks. How do you feel about them? I believe, many will say that America was made by immigrants, but times change, so maybe you feel it needs to stop?

Illegal immigration is a serious issue here in the U.S., thousands of illegals cross our southern border on a daily basis, assume false identities and either take American jobs or get on welfare (or commit violent and drug-related crimes.)
Each illegal immigrant saps money out of the American economy without putting it back in.
Please note, this is not a racial issue, this is an issue of American laws being broken. Do you have a solution or suggestion as to how we can deal with this problem?

My mother is 70 years old and cannot read/write in english. She is a green card holder for 15 years and wants to become a U.S. citizen. The citizenship exam has been holding her back from applying. Is there a workaround without having a medical examiner declare her incappable of learning new things.

Illegal Aliens come here DEMAND what they dont even deserve. Fly there flags and hang ours upside down. Thats a slap in the face to EVERY fallen soldier of ther U.S. army whos ever fought for our country. Help out your country by fighting these law breakers. A law is a law, and coming over illegal is breaking one. No matter how hard they work they dont belong here...Leave and do it th right way! If your the type that wants illegal aliens to stay here because you feel pitty for them, then why dont YOU offer to take them into your home and pay for ALL their needs. You deal with ALL their many family members, YOU deal with there loud crappy music, YOU deal with their filthy ways of living, YOU deal with their kids going to the bathroom wherever and wenever they want out in public. These people dont belong here, help out your country and do something before our f'ed up government does something we'll all regret. Like letting over 200 million illegals walk right into our country.

Cheap labor my butt. They have no health ins. so we pay for that. They pay no soc sec. no property taxes. Rarely have auto ins. are allowed to buy property and default on loans with no recourse or prosecution. Commit crimes and are just sent back accross the border. What's wrong with this picture. How incredibly stupid can we be to say it's ok.

About six months ago, Gino's, the famous philadelphia cheesesteak shop, put up a sign that said "This is America, when ordering, please speak English." Recently, people have been saying that it can be offensive. I don't get it. I'm not trying to be ignorant here, but would anyone actually be offended by that sign? The people that work there only speak English, it seems pretty practical to ask people to order in English. (btw: I realize that it doesn't make sense, the sign is in English so anyone who would be ordering in another language wouldn't understand it.)
