yesterday, who worked for a company that provides services to Camp Pendleton marine corps base??? They were all mexicans. "Agents were looking for 72 others, of whom they think at least 50 of them actually worked at Camp Pendleton. Although the contract ended last year, they think it's possible they may have gained access to the base using their employee i.d. cards". "The arrests are part of an ICE clampdown on private contracters". "Since 2003,ICE has screened some 900 companys connected to the military, and nearly 30% employed ILLEGALS,including two companys hired to repair warships." "It is a significant problem,we have no way of knowing what their true identity is or what their motives are for using FAKE i.d.'s."
GEE,this makes me feel REALLY safe!!! NOT!!!

More and more everyday-the pressure is on. It must be scary for them now. They will have to start living with what they have at home--like so many others poor must do.

It's a start, but this stuff is going to take YEARS, which is why they should freeze ALL immigration for a while, until it all gets cleaned up and taken care of, not just to help weed out the assholes, but also to prove that our policies can and WILL change if things get too stupid, which they have. Bush may not like it, I would imagine that the pro-hispanic lobby's probably frothing at the mouth and trying to encircle Capitol Hill as we speak, but that's good too because it points out the extent of the aggressive attitude they've chosen to adopt in pursuing all these benefits for mexicans etc., and mexicans ARE over-represented in the illegal entry issue, and they would be well-served to work on their own to start turning some of that around. What worked in 1990 isn't going to work anymore, and while some folks might like the idea of a 'boom', it bears remembering that such booms are often followed by a 'bust'. Imagine america going 'bust'. Don't think it could happen? Who would Mexico live off of, then? LOL
They need to diversify their trade, 'go global', and not just assume that they can send their proxies to Washington to curry more favor for themselves by holding babies in front of the camera. If they've got an overpopulation problem in Mexico, the way to solve it is to chase the catholics out of there, and get a handle on their demographics trends, not expect the USA to pick up the tab. Mexico's got its' own potential, by rights they shouldn't have any socioeconomic issues, but they do because of corruption. Well, there's some aspects of trade with Mexico we can live without, such as the drug dealers. Closing off the border for a while will help slow that one down, too, and if it means going over EVERYTHING shipped in from Mexico with a drug dog, and a fine-tooth comb, well that's a superlative use of our law enforcement, as far as I'm concerned...eventually, if we keep it up long enough, Mexico will put 2 and 2 together, and realize that their greed has overshadowed good mutual border practices, and that american citizens are tired of their crap, and 'YES, we can', vote to keep them OUT. And, that goes for everybody, not just Mexico...I don't care where you're from, if you've come to the United States with the express intention of breaking the law, you can go RIGHT back home and see how they like it there.

Now you know very well why they used the fake id's. They needed it to get the job.
Obviously if they are being hired to repair warships, they must be doing something right.
I don't see what the difference is when there are terrorist who where born in the US and have all their papers in order and are still bombing, and shooting from the top buildings.
There is where you should feel unsafe. He could be your neighbor.

No I didn't see this, but thanks for the heads up. This just tells me that we need to expand our scope in regards to Illegals. Any company that hires them knowing they are illegal should be heavily fined and perhaps a prosecution or two.

That's how we are going to solve the illegal immigration problem. 22 down yesterday and 11 million to go. We'll get them all, eventually.

And how many of the employers were arrested?
They're just as culpable.
