securing the borders or do you feel they need improvement. And if so, why do you think the borders aren't really secure and what do you think the govt.'s reasons for this is? What could possibly be the reason?

Do you feel the govt.will eventually want to have an open border policy with the America's, like what happen in Europe with the EU? I personally feel that is where this govt. is going. An open border policy and keep in mind the Europeans NEVER imagined it would happen to them! This is a question we must really look hard at, that our govt. would do such a thing and that the Americans would approve of something like this. I honestly see this happening in 20 years....Thanks in advance!

If America treats you so bad and you don't like us, go back to your country and see how good you have it. Do you know why so many Americans don't like illegal immagrants? It's because you didn't think enough of this great country to even go by our laws to get in. You didn't think that was important. You come over here and we end up paying out our hard earned money to keep you and your children up, every time you go to the doctor, everytime your children go to school, every time you use our food stamps. You are handed out more than a American citizen and you don't appriciate it one bit. And I know this because you tell me this were I work. I have been told we don't wont to be an American we just want your money. How do you exspect us to feel about illegal immagrants. The ones that are here legaly, God Bless you for knowing how lucky you are to be in a country that is free and prosperous.

I see a lot of comments about the US being founded by European immigrants and how we should allow everyone to immigrate. Well, using the same logic, Mexico was founded by Spanish murderers who raped anything that moved and forced their religion upon a bunch of people who cut the hearts out of their enemies and offered them to the sun. If the US should allow all immigrants in, shouldn't Mexico allow all raping, human sacrificing sun worshippers into their country?

I realize that every answer I get will be a flame, but people really need to stop playing the whole 'America was built by immigrants, we should let all immigrants in'.

I was built from my father's sperm, but I sure as hell ain't letting anyone else's sperm enter me.

I'm a little hurt to realize that so many of the Aborigenies call thamselves Native American simply because they have Aboriginie blood. Natives were here long before America was. Claiming that Aboriginies are the only Native Americans is illogical. Anyone born to an American citizen after America was established is a Native American. I live on a rez, but that's not what gives me the right to call myself Native American. I am Native American simply because I was born here to 2 American Citizens, 1 Scott, 1 Aboriginie. Being Red doesn't make me Native American, my birth right does. Black Elk would spit if someone called him a Native American and he was around when America was established. What's done is done, the Aboriginies lost their land and their lifestyle. My ancestors killed by Union Soldier buck shot were NOT Native American. I am an American Citizen with Scott/Sioux blood in my veins. I gave up the chip on my shoulder out of wisdom and for the sake of survival.

Good day everyone !!

A few people told me that if you worked in the USA for a number a year legally you can apply for a green card. If your from England you cannot apply for the green card lottery. I have been working for 6 seasons on H2B visa in theme park and the total work is about 4.5 years. The time is not consecutive, and each time I went back to England for new visa legally. So people say since I worked so long and pay tax and have social security card. Does this mean i can apply, if so how and any advice? thanks so much!!

I think that I didn't made mayseft clear. My point was that we can't compare illegal immigrations to a speeding ticket, but we can't also compare it to rape or murder.

among the mediocre thinkers , and distract the peoples from the massacre going on in Iraq. Its a massacre because its not a fair fight. they kill families with no remorse.

Our Government has never secured the borders. With the way border security has been run the last 50 years haven't they ALLOWED these people to come here unchecked and unstopped?

Its been a problem for a while and they have never done anything about it so shouldn't they be to blame for letting the problem get out of hand?
