For me its an issue of human rights.
And, no, I am not a bleeding heart liberal. I definately lean more to conservative.
Yes, they come here undocumented and inadvertently break the law. For those who are just here to make a better life for there families, I don't see why people see this as evil. They had the misfortune of being born in a corrupt third world country, not of their choosing.
We don't have a choice where we are born and to this I say live and let live. A birthright for me is merely a gift of grace and see it as gift from God, what make me so special that I deserve this birthright, that I was born in this country? Nothing, so I feel compassion for people who don't have this birthright or privilege and who am I to decide if they can or cant live here.
I know you must think that we as citizens must obey our laws to promote order and I agree with you. However, not all laws are reasonable and fair. I don't really want open borders, but for those who risk their lives coming here for a better life, I say live and let live...

This country would be nothing without its melting pot. It is built on immigrants and has been for 300 years. How hypocritical would it be for people who stole the land from its original natives in the first place, to all of a sudden decide they have the right to make laws of who may and may not come here?

it could have a damaging impression on our financial device. establishing the border and granting amnesty is like turning america into an all you are able to buffet. we are able to have human beings coming in droves to be interior the US. Our financial device can not in all hazard take care of the those that are already in it. additionally we ought to consistently have regulations and order in terms of immigration in any different case there is going to be lots chaos and could be detremental to the US.

In this country of abundant wealth and power, it is absolutely ignorant to not allow people who we use for labor to stay here legally, thier labor value certainly is legal for those who steal it.
No human is illegal.
The standard for determining who is "good" and who is "bad" in classic Bush-like formulations is idiotic.
When it comes to immigrants seeking refuge, the U.S. government’s central concern is politics, not oppression.
Beginning in 1966, Cubans who came to the U.S. were automatically classified as refugees, granted permanent residency status and given help to settle in the U.S., under the Cuba Adjustment Act. This was the standard for Cuba’s “refugees from communism.”
A very different standard was applied to those fleeing repression in Haiti. When the democratically elected government of Jean-Bertrand Aristide was overthrown in 1991, tens of thousands of Haitians fled when death squads unleashed terror on Aristide supporters.
When they boarded boats, risking their lives on the ocean voyage, U.S. immigration officials intercepted the asylum seekers and sent them back. The U.S.--an ally of decades of Haitian strongmen previous to the election of Aristide--dubbed the asylum seekers economic refugees, condemning them to their fate back in Haiti.
Yes, there are criminals sneaking into the U.S. But they are war criminals and allies of the U.S. government. The ordinary people who come to the U.S. seeking a better life will be made into criminals--by new anti-immigrant legislation.

So many or our employment sectors employ immigrant workers, our economy is dependant on these workers. This way they could be employed legally, ensuring fair labor practices, and stopping major corporations from continuing to benefit from underpaying workers.
