no. homeland security was not seet up to stop another 9/11.
thats bullshit. the bush regime claimed that it was to prevent more terrorist attacks, but in fact it had been planned for since before 9/11. and not to protect americans from terrorists.
families of 9/11 wanted to know what had happened to their loved ones, and instead of a proactive commision of investigation, they got the homeland security bill. the bill sought to give the Eli Lilly company relief from lawsuits of parents with autistic children who said that their childrens' autism had come from Lilly's use of mercury-based vacine preservation. by the way, the Eli Lilly company contributed over 1 and a half million dollars to the bush campaign part in the 202 cycle. Mitch Daniels, then Bush's budget director, had worked for Lilly for more than a decade before joining the team AND Lilly Chairman and CEO Sidney Taurel was appointed to the presidents Homeland Security Advisory Council. Senate majority leader Bill Frist was another beneficiary of Lilly's largess, and was intrumental in pushing for the Homeland Security Bill.

Homeland security has nothing to do with terrorists or immagrants. So why name it that? well, why name it the Patriot Act? if people vote against the pariot act, that must be unpariotic. if people vote against the Homeland Security Bill they must not care about the protection of americans.
