Get married, then he can apply for residency. When you go through the process there is several things you will need to get in order.
Since you are sponsoring him, you need to show proof of employment for three years. They will ask you for the last three income tax returns. This is to show you are able to support him. I am not sure, because I don't remember since it has been a couple years, but I believe there is an income limit. You have to make something like 15k or more a year.
Also, once you legally get married and he receives his green card, he cannot leave the US. If he does during that period he will not be allow to return back to the US, they don't tell you this!. Sure make sure he doesn't travel back to Mexico during this time.
If he must leave the country because of an emergency he will have to obtain special permission from INS. The whole process will cost you about $2,500 and this is without using an attorney but doing it yourself.
I hope this helps. Good luck
This is for all the people who are judgmental due to this poor girls predicament, show some humanity, as if you NEVER made a mistake, give me a break.....

Sure sounds to me like you did things a little backwards here. What were you thinking? Going ahead and having children with an illegal immigrant without thinking to what would lie ahead? Things are going to be hard for you and unfortunately, for your children, now. There is no easy way and I don't believe just marrying him will be the golden answer. He is not special, there are lots of people who are waiting in line and he should have to go to the back of the line and wait his turn. Too bad you didn't think things through before you plunged in, eh?

Buenos Dias senorita, mucho gusto! i used to live with a me-he-con-o and you could go back to mexico with him and get your papers that way it probably would take months or even years to do that your best interest is to contact an immigration attorney and discuss this situation with some one who can tell you the different options you might have its a long process and the way the news talks you need to get this straightened out sooner than lata cuz there aint no tellin what the gov. might start doing so get it taken care of and good luck hun!best wishes!

Go back to Mexico and wait to immigrate legally. I am not just being mean. I have one parent who immigrated legally and I have other relatives who would like to immigrate but cannot and would not even THINK of doing so illegally. If you think they have done nothing wrong, you are wrong. There's 12 million skilled people out there who would like to legally immigrate and could if the 12 million illegal immigrants had not stolen their place in America from them. They are living the stolen American dream. What about my relatives who are living in a worse place because they cannot legally immigrate? Are you going to give me any sympathy for them? Should we hold rallys to give them free education, health care, etc? Mabey all my sympathy is being used up on them and that's why I have none for your situation.

Marriage isn't always the answer. The best thing to do is call an immigration lawyer, tell them your store, and ask what the best thing is to do. I would call as many lawyers are you can, because alot of them have different things to say. Ask about the I-130..or call a cathlic church, because alot of them have Immigration clinics that will help if you don't make the amount of money you need.

If marriage is not an option, check with Social Services for the State of Oregon. There may be a "common law marriage" clause for citizenship, seeing that you live in a progressive state.

He could do like millions of people before him did APPLY first !
Getting Married is not always the answer - can you be his sponsor and do you take full responsibility for his actions until such time he really does become a citizen?
Also please don't come to our country and expect us to change for you this is America the last time I looked and if he doesn't want to change to American ways then maybe he should stay illegal and just keep breaking the law.
The last time I saw Illegal it still meant you are breaking a law-or did we change that to suit all the Illegal Immigrants?
