sealborders - Enlightenment is a Communist. He supports one of the Communist groups that helped organize the marches. He is going to say over and over, loudly, that the marches put the 'nail in the coffin of the Sensenbrenner Bill' regardless of the backlash that ensued from those marches. He's sort of a cheerleader, in my opinion.
However, there is no doubt that he is sincere in his Communist beliefs. (Take a look at his Q & A.)

What I say, brothers and sisters, may be unsettling to some when this is published, but we intend to take our show on the road and tell the truth to the immigrant community, because there is nothing stronger than the truth--that we have been betrayed by these institutions and individuals.
When you wake up to the class struggle and realize that the corporate elite who own this country are against you as a worker as much as they are migrant workers you will realize that unity is what is needed, not divisions based on race and culture.
You also should consider what life in Mexico is like. Problems are abundant, problems not created by the people of that country, and arguably not created by the corrupt Government of that country even, there are many caused by interventions in the Mexican economy by US based corporate interests. These problems make people's lives utterly miserable, more so than you have ever experienced in your privilaged lives.
In a country with so much wealth, it is insane to claim that "illegals" milking off the system (a factual lie by the way) is somehow effecting your freedom, your money, your needs... The only thing it effects is your ammount of greed. Greed goes hand in hand with racism, it is the plight of opressed people who know not thier true enemy, those who would rather steal from thier fellow citizens than confront the powers that exploit you both.
You have no soul America, you have no soul.
This is why you will have to learn the hard way about neoliberalism and how harsh it is to people.
You enjoyed the ENRON scandal and that is a mere taste.
Wake up, be real and stop the fear.
No human is illegal. Understand that.

I,for one, am with enlightenment. I attended several of the marches here in Memphis and am proud to have done so. So don't count me as one of your "LOT of AMERICANS".
I already had an idea how many illegals were in America. I see them drive by my house everyday. I hear them on weekends with their music blazing but still I really wouldn't want to get rid of them.
In more than one occasion an illegal has been the one to stop on the road to help me.
Like stompamudholenu stated, you're just upset that some one actually had the nerve to write against what you believe.
Why make enlightenment look like he is the bad person and ignorant just because he disagrees with you.
I disagree 100% with you but do I make you look like an a** by posting a question for all to judge your intelligence.
NO.
I just tell you how I feel by answering your questions.
Really, if you can't say something nice, then shut the hell up.
Thank you, and have a nice day.

Whoever he is, I don't think enlightenment needs to be enlightened by you or your Magnificent Seven for anything. What are you, 2 kinds of a control freak? Why does he scare you so much?
Enlightenment should be able to make his own deductions; it is his civil right. You tell people how to think now?
What an attention seeker you are...you keep stirring up a lot of sh*t, no wonder you get in trouble. Quit being a bully and leave the kid alone to do with his brain whatever the hell he pleases. You do. What's with the Pink hat; does it match your Pink Panties?
Edit -- no more pervert than you who delights in land mines to kill human beings; the "pink panties" was your post, remember your hero Sheriff Joe? You want to talk about perverts; yesterday you were asking everyone to "bring out the Pink panties....you have a short memory, don't you, Miss Arpaio?
So don't humor yourself; I am too white for you. Like I said, you have no right to interfere in the thinking process of another human being.....how the hell do you know he is an illegal? You and your gang call me everything but white because I have a different view. I can't see how you delight in the pain of others. I dare you to question my citizenship rights, sealer..........

I think that the damage they did was by waving all those Mexican flags and the anger and "meanness" that they displayed.
I know a lot of Mexicans, those in Mexico, those here legally and those here illegally, and the vast majority of them are good, hard working people, but if I didn't, and all I knew of Mexicans is what I saw on the news, I be willing to have my taxes increased to buy buses to ship them back and build a wall on the boarder, along with Blackhawk to mow anyone down trying to come over. Fortunately I had the experience to know that there are bad apples everywhere and thats what we saw on the news.
There is no easy solution, and you cant blame the illegals for trying to make a better life for their families, You and I would most likely do the same thing if we were in most of their situations. I think that the most sensible thing to do is to go after our citizens that ingore our laws and employ them, by fining them and if needed confiscationg there businesses.
But you do realize that the cost of your fruits and vegtables will be going up sharply, as well as many other costs for the servives that they provide.

Yes, I agree with you that "enlightenment" need to get "enlightened." Personally, I'm glad they held the marches and protests because I am glad of the negative attention they generated to their "cause" by showing their disrespect for the citizens of the USA and the laws of the country, and helped gather steam for more people to rear up against them and push their sorry butts out of the country, which is what is happening more and more, regardless of what the Federal Government does, because the laws are already on the books and they can and are being enforced more and more and it is just a matter of time before "enlightened" will find himself on the other side of the border and with no way back in. Then, maybe he and his brothers and sisters will be forced to direct their energy for their cause towards their own governments in their own countries, where it rightfully belongs.

Have you noticed that the illegals/supporters try so hard to shoot you down? It's because you are right and they are wrong. They can't argue intelligently so they insult, curse and pretend to be you with a fake ID (what a surprise) and then have the utter and sheer stupidity to ask, "Why do people hate Mexicans?" Of course if you answer, whenever they don't like your answer, you are a racist, their magic word that they usually can't spell.
To answer your question, yes. Their "march" was more damaging to them. It just proved that their loyalty was never to the US when they were waving their buzzard rag flag. It proved to Americans how many illegals were here and how arrogant they are. It proved to us that they don't want to be American but demand America and all of the handouts that they don't deserve and don't pay in to.

Yes, I also read where all of their protests in the country was unfased to the country as a whole - I believe it gave the pro movement a pat on the back, but for the country as a whole they were in fact unfased.
While we're at it, what good is it to protest for bankrupting budgets and to take our futures away? The best is yet to come.
Skynn, touching, but all completly wrong. Everyone of those arguments have all been debunked. More and more people are getting wiser to what's going on.

Why do you feel need to call someone out in a question SIMPLY because an opinion that is different than yours. He has a right to his opinion......he has a right to voice that opinion.
Why then do you feel the need to call him out by NAME. Is it so you can get 12 "Hell Yahs" for your question. Can't you just answer his question with YOUR OPINION and leave it at that. Or better yet ASK a question in regards to his "theory" WITHOUT personally attacking him.
I don't understand the concept of asking a question that personally attacks someone SIMPLY to tell them they are wrong. Shouldn't you have done that when you answered the question he asked that brought you to this point.
To answer YOUR question. I think he is very enlightened and doesn't NEED a thing from YOU or anybody else for that matter.

Americans are feeling plenty 'enlightened' anymore, and it sure does explain why state budgets keep getting bigger, too. Time to can some of these 2-bit policy hacks and their cross-border machinations, too...
