Immigration - June 2006

Or...does the immigrant gain automatic citizenship (after filling out the application) without taking the English and civics test?

My friend is betting that the tests are not necessary, and I have a quarter riding on this bet. Please help us by giving us an answer.

LIED about the Arizona gubanatorial candidate's plan for illegals??? "The story last week, caused an international stir, when EFE a national news agency from spain, quoted Don Goldwater as saying he wanted to hold illegals in "camps" and use them as labor in the construction of a wall, and to clean the areas in the Arizona desert that they are polluting." EFE executive V.P.,said they had "inacurately" described Goldwater's plan, and the freelance writer had NEVER interviwed Goldwater OR his staff before "writing" his story"!!! Personally,i think they SHOULD be used to build the fence, REPAIR the damages they've caused, and clean up the GARBAGE they leave behind in the desert!!! why should TAXPAYERS get STUCK for that TOO??!!

We spend more on Illegal aliens through health care, education, and correctional institutes than we do on those who fought and gave over twenty years of their life for this Great Country

I know "mexican" is a nationality, but the country of mexico is a purist country isnt it?......the constitution of mexico if you read it was specifically design to keep it that way!. Mexicans derive from the mongoloidian genome, as whites the caucasoidial, and blacks the *******, the three roots of all races on earth!

I think it's unfair for the government to stop people from coming to the United States because everyone should live anywhere they want. If they want a better life for themselves or their family then why can't they cross the border?

with this prediction by the newscaster??? I DO!!! "With his book, IN MORTAL DANGER,skyrocketing up the bestseller charts, and public concern growing daily over America's illegal immigration problems, the book's author.Rep Tom Tancredo-the nation's number one undisputed heavyweight champion of the border security issue-may, well be elected President" said a popular cable tv newscaster! "Illegals coming into America are sure to be front and center in the next Presidential election here, and Republican Congressman,Tom Tancredo knows it. He owns this issue. And straw polls show, that if he were to run for President (and he says he WILL!),he just might well be President!" He believes illegal immigration is the greatest THREAT to our nation! Tancredo said,"Mexico is aiding and abetting an INVASION of this country". He is SO right!!! He's got MY vote!!!

I keep seeing the question,"Why don't Mexicans fight in their own land to make it better?"
Let me ask you this,if there was a revolution in Mexico, don't you think that there would be tons MORE ppl that would want to escape it?Think about it.Wouldn't they be Refugees?
There are 12 million illegals in this country and even though you think they are ALL Mexican ,they are not.Even if they were all Mexican they would only be like 11% of Mexico's population. Not all the Mexicans in Mexico want to come here.

I really want to know! $400 a week is a above average pay check for min. wage Americans, before taxes of course. The standard cost of living puts those drawing min. wage below poverty level in our country. But who cares? On $400 a week we're expected to pay taxes, buy health insurance, car insurance, life insurance, renters insurance, tag and license our vehicles, pay the school system extra to get our high school kids to school and back
on the public school bus, extra for high school sports and band etc., pay our rent, pay our bills, feed our families, and continue to watch the cost of living rise. I'm ranting but hey, I'm mad as hell. I really want to know how much illegals can accomplish on 400 american dollars a week. I'll almost bet they live better than I do and struggle less. I'm curious what the conversion rate is.

Really would the illegal immigrants run to this country if they had to pay the taxes, join the military, etc. We make things to easy and our tax dollars that we work hard for are going to waste.

My dad who is an american citizen petitioned for me while being a US resident. The petition was approved. 10 years later I came to the US and contacted the embassy (in Dec 2005) which gave me all the forms to be filled costing me $1200. I filled the forms on March 2006 and submitted the $1200. in fees to the american embassy. I was called to do Biometrics which I did in April and this week was called in to an interview. I was told my approved petition was revoked in Dec 21,2005 because I got married three years ago therefore I am now inelligible to recieve the green card. The US Immigration revoked my approved petition in Dec 21,2005 and recieved and cashed checks for my greencard in March 2006. I pointed this out to the supervisor at the USCIS a Ms. J. Sheldon who said that I won't be getting my money back , there is no way. This is robbery and fraud. Where or Who do we go to in a time like this when the Crime is being committed by a department of State?
