No, it will not discourage them from coming. It is not because they are greedy or because they don't care as sealrborder said but because they have no other choice. What would you do if you couldn't find a job and you couldn't feed your family. Unlike you they don't have the option to go on welfare. They have to work for every piece of bread that goes into their mouth. You don't know how lucky you are to have been born in this country. Yes American can be anything you want to say about it but having the opportunity to be anything that you want and have anything that you want even if it means working 2 or 3 jobs. You at least have the option in other countries where you were born is where you will live and die because you don't have those opportunities. I would risk my life and have all those people out their say that don't want me here and have you say all you want if it meant that my family had a roof over their head and food on the table.

Yes. But it will bring you harm, because I can go back to Europe, but you can't do without all the educated Europeans, for whose education you didn't pay a dime!
It's NOT just MExicans you know;you have 25% educated fluent English speaking Europeans on expired visas, who all pay taxes and contribute to US economy. Many of my friends couldn't legalize for years and just went back to Europe, got another degree(university is FREE in Europe!). They are very happy they left, because most of Europe gives better opportunities right now. You keep the Mexicans, the Africans etc...Good luck...

No,this backlash will only alienate and do nothing to bring this to a peaceful end. If you are going to punish a group of people for simply trying to getting a better life.It will back fire on you. If you think it is bad now, it will only get worse. This crap I hear about shooting illegals if they are trying to come over, how will that come to a peaceful end?
