Immigration - June 2006

I here all these commentes on illegals and how there to blame for whats wrong wiht society and little on the businesses that employ them. It's all supply and demand. There is a demand for workers in many fields and Mexico's supllying the men and women. American's want to get payed more, and pay less for goods. If Americans want to pay less, you have to pay less for the product. The way I see it we want it both ways. The minimum wage hasn't change in like 10 years yet teh Republican Majority Congress just gave themselves a pay raise for the great job they and the Democrats are doing Dispite some of the corrption. So who's to blame , if anybody, Government, immigrants, employers, or the American people.

I'm tired of this. Illegal aliens need to be stopped. Whether the guards simply shoot to imobilize or shoot to kill. I don't care what the 'pussy-***' liberals say, we need to close our borders and we as Americans need to excersise our 2nd Amendment. (The right to keep and bear arms)

Do you morons not understand economics at all? Prices will only go up as high as people are willing to pay! Did none of you have an econ class in high school? Did you even go to high school?

While I am on the subject of things you morons are wrong about, lets get this out there as well. I am just as Native as ANY Indian by virtue of the fact I was born her. I have worked in the fields and in construction as well as my entire family, so Americans not doing the jobs holds about as much water as a strainer. I am not a racist, but I am prejudiced against ignorance and just plain stupidity.

And for the crux of my question, why should illegals here be allowed amnesty? What makes them so much more special than the millions of others that want to come here, but are doing it the right way? Why should we tell everyone else doing things the right way "Tough luck, it pays to be a criminal."?

Not all, but most American blanks rant and rave against all groups and races but dont anyone dare to strongly/or slightly suggest criticism of them. Their children intimidate/harass/abuse latino, Asian, Jewish and white school children...yet their are not biggots (they all have a 300 yrs justification for it) In a work place where they are the majority...discrimination has no parallel. Now that I have said that I am a biggot, stupid and sure will get my "f------ a---" kicked. Exactly my point. Sorry if I ever suggested black discrimination/biggotry of other races---they cannot possibly be. HA! I underscore "Most American blacks" for my experience with black folks in the Caribbean and Virgen Island is totally different and totally positive! (by the way they too were slaves at some point but stop making excuses and went and bettered themselves) Now go and stop blaming everyone else for everything.....Own some of it! Viva La Barca, Mexico.

I am a US citizen who got married already, so cannot use the fiance visa. I also want the immigrant visa (I-130) not the K-3. I know that takes longer, and that is ok. I wanted to know if anyone has recently done this, and how long did it take. I have heard close to 8 months. is that true? My wife is from Pakistan, and a Canadian Permenant Resident. However the process will be in pakistan, not canada, because she is living there currently.

If all the illegals were to be deported,Who's gonna drive the bike that has the cooler on it down my street everyday at the same time so that I can buy a coconut paleta(ice cream bar) for $1?And I want the price to stay the same.
He does a great service to all of us that love paletas. And he's not hurting the environment because he's on the bike.

or do they expect to get privliges without having the proper document?

BTW: I'm not on anybody's side here. I'm just wondering......and also I'm a U.S citizen so it's hard to understand from my point of view.

I'd also appriciate it if I could get answers from immigrants not original citizens born in the U.S. I think I've seen enough of people's opinion in the newspaper and on T.V.

If your country was very poor and you couldn't feed yourself and live a normal life? If you were making only $200 a month, which barely covered your rent and some food?
Would you stay there and live in poverty or go somewhere you wouldn't starve?

Did you know that a so-called "anchor baby" cannot help their parents get papers until they (the baby) are 18 years old. So many people seem angry about that law, but it is not like BAM! they are citizens now that they had a baby here.

What I mean is: how are trashy Americans who sit around all day on their a**, get welfare and contribute to the US population boom by popping out kids every year any better than undocumented immigrants who hold down two or three jobs, pay taxes and in general contribute to society? Shouldn't we deport the American trash that's draining us and embrace the people who come here to work?

I'm talking about the majority, who entered illegally but later became legal, through marriage or other ways. All of a sudden ppl hate illegal immigrants, but are claiming legal immigrants are okay. Why,when most of them came here illegally also? Why shouldn't the ones here now have the same chance as all those used -to-be illegals? Can someone explain the difference in the two, when some just did it earlier than others? It's okay for a person to stay here cause they became legal 5mos.ago,but not one who's still illegal...even if they came over illegally together?

We have heard from advocates of illegal amnesty that they are here because legal Americans are lazy.

I am not a lazy individual, nor are the people around me. Do you have opinions as to why this argument keeps surfacing over and over? Do you perceive that those citizens of our nation are indeed, lazy or unwilling to do manual labor?
