Hell yeah. How can you vote for someone who believes the law shouldn't be enforced? Or that lawbreakers should be given a gift instead of punished?

No, I'm not opposed. Yes, I'd be willing to vote, but I won't anyway. The concerns of the United States people is not my problem, and I don't really think it's the problem of the politicians...They just have to get a majority of people, not all of them. I assume that's why democracy takes so long to take root in some place that has never had it, only slightly more than half the people are happy, the rest of them think it's total BS. And I know some people say "If you don't vote you have no right to complain." But ya know, no one really has the right to complain in this country...Maybe the homeless...but some of those guys are scammers while some are the real deal. So, my real point is this; The world is trying to become a Global Community, but nationalistic peoples are keeping that from happening. You have National Pride, and just like State Pride was a factor in the [American] Civil War, National Pride is going to lead us down an ugly path...This Terrorism is just the start, these are the rebels who see what's going to happen...granted some of them are just plain nuts, but some of them also see that the world is going down the tubes. When real nations get involved, everything is just going to go fast. The North Koreans were thinking of testing a ICBM last I heard, and every nation who has any sway over them is saying "You can't do that!" Not being that old, I had to ask someone about why the Koreans can't have missiles, getting the response of "They said so when there was the Korean Cease Fire" Oh, okay, so we're supposed to TAKE a government's word, Got ya... Anyway...I tend to leave the topic and wander. If I could relinquish my U.S. Citizenship just to let 12 million people who REALLY wanted to be here get their citizenship, I would do so in two seconds.
I noticed that someone said they were voting Yes on opposing it, and mentioned something about giving away the Bill of Rights to Russians and the Chinese... What the hell, man...We haven't been at war with the Russians for over a decade...As for the Bill of Rights and the Constitution, These are over 200 years old, we should at least update them into current vernacular(pardon me if that's misspelled.) There seems to be all this arguing over the wording, so let's just let the Supreme Court, which as far as I know is the highest level of Judicial government, read it over, then have it written out again in today's terms. Define the 'Freedom of Speech', define "All Men Created Equal" is it All Men or All Persons?

Funny how this issue really crosses both parties. Its a schizophrenic issue that draws no party lines.
I am a conservative Latino which normally votes on conservative issues. I was on the fence about the amnesty issue and after reading all the hate messages given about illegals, I am going to definitely support amnesty.
I see these people everyday and they really are harmless. If there only crime is, they want to support their families, then I say live and let live.
I don't condone those who come and cause problems and steal and take from society. I do support those who just want to work and support there families. They don't want to break the law anymore then any other. They just have no other choice. Its a question of survival for them, plain and simple....

In November I will vote against anyone who wants to give amnesty to 12 million+ illegal criminals. You can count on that.

I frame the question differently. However, I will vote immigration in November and in 2008. Party is not the issue.

I won't vote agaisnt my represenatives. I live in Texas.
Our Senators and Represenatives are voting exactly how we want. Also, one issue -that being immigration- should control an entire vote. Let's vote out the liberals who would offer Russians and the Chinese our Bill of Rights.

You bet. If they are more interested in helping big businesses and illegals then they aren't representing me or my interests. I would go so far as to say that if they want illegal immigrants to have amnesty, then they are traitors to the American people.

Yes. I claim allegiance to no side, I will vote for who I think will do the best job. Claiming allegiance to a political party is akin to brand loyalty of certain products.
