I've heard all my poverty stricken life, that our government has always helped the people that immagrate to our country, to help them to have a better life than they had where ever they were running from. What about those of us who were born right here in the U.S.A. It's like pulling teeth to get OUR government to help it's OWN people to have a better life, and to have a chance. We were born here!!Why should it be so easy for them, and not for those of us that were born here? Isnt our rights first? Correct me if I'm wrong...

I just retired from the United States Army and I never had to look for a civilian job. Now I'm in the search for a civilian Employment and I cant believe with education and military background. I aint getting no where. I think its sad that a lot of legal and born americans are getting kicked to the side for cheaper laborers. What happened to our own taking care of our own. Our grandparent did pick veg/fruit and worked construction jobs that made this country what it is. Now these illegals are crying out saying "OUR Gov't is being unfair to them". I think they brought it on themselves by not going foreword and becoming a legal citizen. Its like if I drive drunk and ran over a person. Don't you think I should be liable for it. Well whats the differance with illegal status> It still has the illegal WQORD in it. I say EXPORT them back to their org place. Let them come back the right way. Oh yeah! They say who's going work in the farming industry. Well I pay taxes. Prisioners do the work!!!

The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was the peace treaty that ended the Mexican-American War (1846–1848). The treaty provided for the Mexican Cession, in which Mexico ceded 1.36 million km² (525,000 square miles) to the United States in exchange for USD$15 million. The United States also agreed to take over $3.25 million in debts Mexico owed to American citizens.

The cession included parts of the modern-day U.S. states of Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, and Wyoming, as well as the whole of California, Nevada, and Utah. The remaining parts of what are today the states of Arizona and New Mexico were later ceded under the 1853 Gadsden Purchase. he treaty was signed by Nicholas P. Trist on behalf of the United States and three plenipotentiary representatives of Mexico on February 2, 1848, at the Villa de Guadalupe Hidalgo (today Gustavo A. Madero, D.F.), slightly north of Mexico City.

This wet foot-dry foot law kills me. It does not matter if you are a rapist, murderer, child molester etc.......... This does happen quite often, I know I live here. They are no better than the illegals, as far as depleting resources. What do you all think?

If we were to open all borders, what exactly would happen ? A massive move of people and then what ? In the end, wouldn't it all regulate itself and people move where there is a chance of survival ?
Who gives you/us the right to tell people that they cannot come here ? Birth right ? That's life ? History ?

Here is a link with all immigration laws since the 1700s.
You be the judge.

P.S. If they came before 1790, there was no immigration law to break:all newcomers were made citizens as soon as they set foot here...

from them and put them in a foster home? If the parents didn't want that to happen they could be given the option of going back to their homeland. I wouldn't like to separate families, however if they thought that could be a possibility, they'd be looking for passage back to the country they give their allegience to. If it were me and my kids I'd be travelling south and FAST. If an American woman deliberately put her child in danger they would take HER children.

Since so many Mexicans are claiming to be Native Americans.

Most federally recognized tribes within the United States have treaties between the tribes and the federal government. That is what makes Native Americans unique within the United States. I would like to know which treaties Mexicans have with the U.S. federal government, if any.

Many people refer to illegal immigrants as "criminals" because they broke law when they entered the U.S.

In my previous question I asked "Does breaking the law makes someone a criminal?" I had a reason to ask that question
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=A9j8a0Xe9aFEOu4A1QDsy6IX?qid=20060627180459AAWIHgP
The majority of people who answered said yes.

But if illegal immigrants are criminals because when they crossed the border they broke the law, then we are all criminals because at one point or the other we have broken the law, like speeding ticket, driving without a license or insurance or even something small like a parking ticket.

In conclusion I think that if you call them "criminals " for breaking the law when they entered into the U.S. then you must also consider yourself a criminal if you got a parking ticket , because you also broke the law.

I'm correct?

Explanation: If we have legal citizens who abuse our welfare, does that make it okay for illegals to abuse it? If we have legal citrizens who are criminals does that justify illegals criminal activity? Is what U.S. Americans do any business of the illegal immigrants? Don't we have enough to take care of with our own people breaking laws that we shouldn't have to pay for THEM coming here abusing our systems and breaking our laws, too?

Their very existance within US borders is a continuous and ongoing crime. THERE IS NOTHING THAT AN ILLEGAL CAN DO THAT FALLS UNDER THE CATEGORY OF GOOD OR LAW ABIDING.
If I break into our house and just watch tv, don't steal, don't do anything else, would you consider me a good guest or a part of your family or would you call the cops and have me arrested for breaking into your house? Is there anything RIGHT that I could do other than leave?
