Since so many Mexicans are claiming to be Native Americans.
Most federally recognized tribes within the United States have treaties between the tribes and the federal government. That is what makes Native Americans unique within the United States. I would like to know which treaties Mexicans have with the U.S. federal government, if any.

Great question. I am sure they are thinking about what is a federally recognized tribe, why are they a sovereign nation, why do they have treaties with the government. I know that the Tohono O'odham tribe is in Mexico, and the are a federally recognized tribe. Most try to enroll with them to have babies and health care with the IHS facility in Sells, AZ. But, they must be a citizen of the US to get there. There is no treaty ensuring them the legal right to come to America to have health care at IHS, yet, they come. How they get here, I just don't know...... ha ha..

I really dont know about treaties, but I can tell you that they are native americans in the sense that their relatives were those that were the indigenous peoples in Mexico and parts of the US. Most Mexicans think of the whole continent as America. They shouldnt claim the land now, so long from when Europeans took/bought it. But to say that they are native americans is true enough. So you will be sad to know that they are probably your distant relatives. LOL

Interesting that you asked something like this. Last night you asked what their supposed "native" language was, besides Spanish. I noticed that there were no legitimate answers from any Mexicans. I guess you blew their "Native American" LIE right out of the water!!!
Nobody is questioning the fact that they are South American Aztecs or Mayans but it is truly disgusting when they try to claim North American Indian legacy. What would be even more disgusting is if someone were ignorant enough to believe it. I know true Native Americans and they tend to be as patriotic as I am. They are the ones who have a right to be more upset than anyone about the massive wave of illegal immigration but the only ones you hear really whining are ILLEGAL Mexicans and other SOUTH American border jumpers.
Puncho, you are just p.o.'ed that he proved your "Native American" lie was bullcrap. Don't be a sore loser.
Renegade, you should get 100 points for stating an obvious fact that they are unable to argue with -TRUTH. I mean you are a true Native and they are telling you they know more about them than you do, even though they speak Spanish...WHAT A JOKE. Thank you for making my point for me. Good job.

I don't know of any myself. My heritage is Native American and Scottish, spent most my days with the Natives. Believe me old Indian people don't talk about much else but the struggles. The closest I ever heard of a treatie with Mexico was when one of my elders told me the Mexicans are another clan of our native people, they're just like us, they just got a bigger reservation than us.

It doesn't matter...the ignorant mexicans are still gonna cross the border anyway!!!!
Disclaimer: when I say this, I mean those who violate federal law by crossing the border illegally. I have nothing against law-abiding, tax paying hispanics.
