My town has changed since the illegals have moved here. A lot of them do not respect the rules.. The crime rate has gone up so much here. A lot of them are in gangs. They are always getting into trouble here. Our jails are full of them. Even during the day folks are being robbed. I am sure some of them are good folks but I know our crime rate is up since they moved here..

Also Mexico is not as poor as some may think. I have been there several times. Yes they have poor people , but so do we. Its not like all the poor are starving... I have never seen anyone that looked underfed, especially the children. They all looked very healthy and the babies were fat. So they are eating something.. The people I seen on T.V. crossing the border are wearing nice shoes and dressed better then some Americans I know.
The minimum wage over there equals to about $4.00 an hour. That's not far behind what ours is and the cost of living is a lot cheaper in Mexico then here. Mexico is a lot better off then some of the countries south of them.. Guatemalans cross into Mexico and do jobs that Mexicans won't do. They are trying to go to Mexico for a better life...

First of all, my mother was an immigrant, who came to this country illegally. She worked and had taxes removed from her paycheck. She applied for residency and received it.

In 1996, she earned her citizenship.

What some people don't understand is that there are bad illegal immigrants, and good illegal immigrants, just as there are bad Americans and good Americans. Many immigrants can live in this country, pay taxes with an EIN number, and be contributing members of society without legal status. By paying taxes and being straight forward about their residency, illegal immigrants lay a foundation for applying for citizenship.

You can even join the army without citizenship, all you have to be is a permanent resident alien, which is an immigrant, albeit with legal status. And there are many immigrants defending this country.

Illegals respect every american law, cause they know that if they dont they would be reported to the authorities and could be deported. Their only sin is come here because they need to provide for their poor families, they cant let their kids starve to death, I would do the same thing. The problem with americans is that they dont place themselves in others peoples shoes and they take everything for granted. and dont come with the cliche that all illegals are criminals, every race have criminals, whites, blacks , asians, you cant categorize a group of people by some criminals, unless you want an excuse to spread your racism hatred.
