As you have no doubt seen on TV, the wall in Israel does not work. See the turmoil going on over there for what, 5000 years already. I see both sides of this issue. My mother was of hispanic descent and my father was from the US. Hispanics come here and, as you claim, take your jobs. What jobs would that be? Working in the fields picking fruits and vegetables? When's the last time you did that kind of work? Working on the 3rd shift as a janitor? Most of you wouldn't take that job either. Be real and look at the big picture.

And you call it an invasion. Look at your history books. Who came to this land and invaded it? The American Indians, and Mexicans were already here and you took it anyway. You placed the American Indians onto reservation camps and you stole Texas from the Mexicans. If you would just learn SOME Spanish, you would know that Texas is Spanish for "Tejas" which means friends. Some friends we turned out to be. We steal their land and then we ridicule them and want to banish them.

As for the other side of this issue, I am all for removing any illegal that is NOT doing his or her part for the community. This would include working legally with a REAL social security card and paying taxes. I am far too tired of seeing people (this would include all races) taking advantage of the system. Not working and receiving food stamps or having their rent paid for them or getting any kind of assistance. PEOPLE of all races have certain inalienable rights. We cannot forget that just so some of us can get ehat we want. Illegal or not, they do have rights. If you were to go on vacation to any other country, do you expect to have any rights simply because you're white or American?

Get with the program people and look at the BIG picture. We as a country are at fault for all of our problems. We commit the error and/or crime and then expect someone else to take the blame. Beef up the border, sure. Have tighter restrictions on immigration, great. But make it fair, make it for everyone and make it stick.

If only the native American tribes in this American soil you guard so jealously had had that kind of power, and that sort of xenophobic thinking, you probably wouldn't be here making that very argument.
I think the perfect solution would be to simply make illegal aliens pay more taxes. A big problem I'm facing, however, is that I'm legal, and no one cares anyway. They want me out too. At least you can be sure WE'll never do something half as stupid as the Salem Witch Trials.

Serious. I'm tired of the immigrants coming over the border and taking our jobs, like working the midnight janitor shift and picking the crops for 12 hours straight just so we can eat and be clean. Oh wait, americans are too lazy/don't want to do jobs like that. So in reality, they are taking nobody's jobs, and are actually doing all of the dirty work that must get done but no one else will do. And they do it for little pay, keeping the economy in good shape. We in fact owe these 'illegals' a big thank you.

There is no need for such a movement of troops. Arizona Gubenetorial Candidate Goldwater today said a solid wall would cost $1 billion and save his state $2.4 billion a year - thats a no brainer even in the eyes of government. He also said a state of the art wall could be done for $4 billion - and since it would be the government building it - I'm guessing it would be $10; and worth every penny.

The key to ending illegal immigration is to stop the demand for labor. Enforce the laws to the extent that it's no longer profitable for businesses to hire illegal immigrants. Once the demand for labor is lessened, illegal immigration will dwindle down. But while there is still pay, folks will find a way to that pay, fence or no fence.

i agree with the soldiers , i think we should build a wall not a fence that has razor sharp barbwire that is elect. all around it that is 40 feet under ground an 60 ft high. above the ground.I would give my fed. taxes to pay for it an i think about 79% of american would do the the same. if we have to shoot to kill but save that for last resort

You can put all the fences in the world.....But they will just keep coming.

These people are resourceful....They will find very creative ways to arrive. So, no it wont help.

FYI, they have already invaded this country and it happened about 20 years ago, your too late buddy....Where were the cries 20 years ago?

You were too busy enjoying the slave labor....

A fence wouldn't be a bad idea. The 6000 National Guard troops that are going to the Mexican border isn't a bad start though. We needn't neglect the Canadian border too.

America, Mexico, Canada, and all of central and South America should unite under communism. Break down walls do not build them.
