Their very existance within US borders is a continuous and ongoing crime. THERE IS NOTHING THAT AN ILLEGAL CAN DO THAT FALLS UNDER THE CATEGORY OF GOOD OR LAW ABIDING.
If I break into our house and just watch tv, don't steal, don't do anything else, would you consider me a good guest or a part of your family or would you call the cops and have me arrested for breaking into your house? Is there anything RIGHT that I could do other than leave?

Right there with you dude. I think this immigration amnesty is a load of crap and it trivializes the effort of people who come to this country legally and that sucks!

you can't use an analogy to assess this sensitive question. it only works to emphasize the point of the presenter/ I can argue that an illegal is stealing your tv because he contracts cheaper labor which substitiute your job. Now that you are unemployed, you have no money to buy a new plasma, while the illegal buy a new portable tv in his flat. so fairness is in the eyes of the beholder. you may call what their doing a crime, but if they don't do what they do, they'll die and the ones they love relied on their wages will die as well. Ask yourself and hope that you can answe this sincerely, "how much did you really donate last year for the advancement of the poors in third world?"

true AND false.
If you broke into my house, I would ask you what the f is wrong with you and would make a really big deal out of it.
Of course, there would also be others like you who actually asked for permission and even though they're often confused with your kind, they are not the same. They have written permission to be here, signed by an authority way greater than myself.
A very intelligent one among your group would remind me, when he saw me attacking you, that I myself broke into this house first and killed everyone who was in it, so in reality it wasn't mine either. Then I would probably be wise and shut the hell up, admitting that I was wrong to try to keep this house to myself when I should have allowed you (who were closer to the previous owners than me) to at least be here.
BE WISE AND SHUT UP, XENOPHOBE!!!

Interesting annalogy... but what if you cooked for the family as well? And cleaned? And did laundry? Just to watch the TV? Would you still be kicked out? Because thats all the illigal immigrants are doing...but i like how you think...

Rule of law is man's feeble attempt to a sense of decency. Is it decent for people to not go thru a process laid out by society? Is it decent that some go thru the set process by exhausting time and money while others just totally ignore it?

What is wrong must be set right, and what is right must be kept right.

3 questions.

1. False.......one crime.....not ongoing.
2. Metaphors don't work.....it doesn't make sense.......it actually belittles the situation.
3. That is a blanket question that begs me to say "of course"....so I will leave it at that.

Excellent question. I think it would only be proper for you to ask if you could come and live in my house before you actually show up and let yourself in the back door. :)

Neither.

You would never make it inside my house. I would make it impossible for you to even come anywhere near my street. Looks like somebody is not doing their job.
