Yes, I think its a good idea....
It has worked well for Israel.
Some Americans went over to check it out and to get some tips. They may even hire some people from Israel to help build it... Time will tell I guess, but something needs to be done. There is no excuse for our weak borders...

Israel is very small and building fences is not hard at all.
For US it will take years to build huge walls and the effect is quite dubious.
BTW, Israel has fences in the West Bank, not on its southern border... Because most Muslims and terrorists live there.
Not the case with Mexico...

A fence is needed only because the existing laws are not honestly observed or seriously enforced. We have had a mechanism in place for providing work visas, temporary assistance and access to employers for many years. I've worked with many expatriates from around the world who have benefited from this system, as have their employers. We also have the technology in place to provide the residency status of applicants to any employer within hours to a day or two. If all parties chose to work within the system, designed to provide opportunities to our friends from every country, a fence would not be needed, and finding those who come here to do us harm would be far simpler and faster.

"You mean like the one we fought to REMOVE in china ? You dam communist "
What an idiot. You can't compare the two. First of all the only wall in China is the Great Wall and no one wanted that one torn down. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you are referring to the Berlin Wall, in which case the wall was put up as an attempt to keep people in and maintain communism, where as the wall in Israel was built to keep out terrorists. The wall in Israel has proved to be effective in that suicide bombings have greatly decreased.

Yes, I'm sure that's completely in accordance with the values of liberty and freedom. Next thing the US should do is hunt and exterminate anyone who is not Protestant Christian, right? And then a hierarchy should be established where decendants of non-caucasians are at the bottom. And the more caucasian blood you have running thru your veins, the higher in the hierarchy you get. That's probably the absolute best thing to do.

what you are talking about? israel is a zionist state, they are builidng fence to grab land and then increase its territory.
israel is nothing but a piece of land full of junks whereas the mexicans are improving US economy by providing an efficient, hardworking force. they are on low profile on criminal activites.

Why not build a fence all around it? Wouldn't that be the best way?

If it protects the people--yes.
And new studies have showed the fences in the area that the Minutemen have put up--has lowered crime.
Guess that proves it.

no, its all smoke and mirrors to take America's attention from the war activities abroad....unless Bin Laden is coming in on the next tide, afloat on a raft made of flip flops and turban.
