Us humans are drama junkies, ya me included. The nitty gritty, bottom of the pot truth of the matter is........it's Illegal in this great country. Our law is our law. We're lost with out it!

It is not a misdemeanor P. You might wish it was-but it is not.
It is a crime against the State and Country . Treason to the government refusing its laws.

Ever been to Mexico, where 4 million crimes are commit a year? Where 1 million are reported, and where only 8% of those one million are prosecuted. Crime pays in Mexico, so the mentality of law is not respected when people illegally come here from there.
But I would mostly assume it's personal bias, as-in...it's not a crime if I don't get caught. Consequence don't count when people think about it on the small scale. 'I'm not that bad.'
Although this is nothing new, because most countries 'suck at life.'

Yes..I "get" it..it's illegal..and ..just because it was a law that wasn't enforced on the scale it should have been doesn't mean it is no longer a law or that we shouldn't be obey it. I have no friends in prison but if I did i am sure the punishment would fit the crime. Such is the punishment of illegal entry into a sovereign nation should be deportation.

Why dont you get that there native to the lands of the united states and many are family related to legal mexicans.
immigrants have presidental approval to be migrant workers since the 50's why doesnt any speak up about that.
I dont see you complaining about driving 75 on the freeway
Or recreational pot and coke use or girls painting there toe nails on the freeway that's illegal too

DUMB A** haven't you ever heard about the border patrol or the coast guard? what do you think they're there for? they are trying to enforce the fact that it's illegal, what you and most of you will never understand is that is imposible to stop it and to take everyone out, and when most people say the goverment is not doing anything about it, they are maybe they're not getting everyone out like you want. illegal does not equal criminal, look at other things that should be illegal and they are not ex: ABORTION!! just because the government puts in your little brains that illegal=crimial, and abortion=O.K doesn't mean you should look at illegal immigration as criminal people that should deserve jail

You think every law on the books makes sense? No, some laws are silly and are just on paper. This government doesnt enforce it for that reason. ITS IMPOSSIBLE.....They made the stupid law and now they have to stick with it. But I see the tides turning the other way....

When we fail to follow our own laws, when we succumb to the temper tantrum of people who broke the law to be here, when we ignore laws we don't like, when it gets as out of hand, as the illegal invaders situation.....it's called "mob rule".
Then comes chaos and then......a breakdown of the society as we know it.

To sqwrlgirl, the answer is yes, you must judge people by their actions. If you are not, your ignorant. If you tell a girl friend a big secret, and she blabs, do you keep telling her secrets. You probably do. My point is this...these people were willing to break our laws to get into this country, sooooo, they are willing to break our laws, that's all we need to know! Period!

EVERYONE "gets it". Some just want to ignore it though. What I don't get is why we are even having this discussion. You are right, it is illegal, and as such should be treated as any other crime. They should have their asses packed up and shipped out.

yeah most understand? they just think that after so long, the government all of the sudden wants to do something.some laws are just mean, not all laws should be followed.
