Really would the illegal immigrants run to this country if they had to pay the taxes, join the military, etc. We make things to easy and our tax dollars that we work hard for are going to waste.

Most illegal immigrants from mexico come here and take their money back to Mexico.
They don't pay taxes on what they earn like Americans plus when they get hurt the hospitals have to take care of them for free.
Who foots the bill. The taxpayers. Companies hire these people illegally so do you think taxes are really taken from their pays Do they pay for healthcare. No
their money goes back to mexico where things are cheaper. I can understand if they really want to stay here and be citizens but this does not seem to be the case.

Uhh.. They probably still would..
We are the shining jewel in the world

So much food, we have problems from being fat

So much money, we worry about filling our SUV's with gas

So much freedom, we look like a divided nation because everyone can speek their minds.

So much prosperity, someone with a HOUSE, FOOD, MEDICAL CARE, FOUR CHILDREN ALL OVERWEIGHT, can be considered poor.

So much welfare placed on our children, they actually rebel and DONT want to goto school, to learn and grow.

there are other great countries, but this is the dream for many people standing right outside our counrty with nothing to look forward to.

They will come, the only thing is will we let them in?

The US can't get enough illegal workers nowadays. So they are moving their companies directly to Mexico for the cheap labor. Many Americans have lost their jobs that way. Free medical, schooling, and no taxes is luring illegals to this country by the millions, and each family starts having children at about the age of 15. They have 8 or 9 kids and tax our welfare system. If you walk into an illegal Mexican health clinic, look around at the girls having babies and how many toddlers are with them already. It's disgusting that they breed like rabbits and put a burden on our economy.....)(

I'm impressed by all the intelligent responses to this question, it's refreshing. Check this out.......I'm what America calls white, born and raised here, totally leagal to this land. I spent 2 months this year unemployed in Cali seeking a job everyday. I applied for a job less desireable, hotel maid, for min. wage, and was turned down.......well the whole crew was Mexican, none spoke english and so I wasn't hired because; quote; "you just wouldn't fit in unless you were bi-lingual". Ya no kidding people! So don't assume that Americans aren't out there desperately trying to get any job they can, even the grunt jobs like changing other peoples dirty sheets. So here I am struggling to raise another child in our great country and I can't even get a grunt job cuz the illegals have them all. "Wouldn't fit in" is what I was told. Why? Because I speek F'n english!

And check this out, there's an illegal running loose out there who has ruined my credit and stolen my taxes this year.

I applied for medical help from the state and dang if they didn't put me on some work training program. I don't need work training dammit! I've worked my whole life. I just need a f'n job! The illegals get free medical help here, payed by americans, I get squat, just a huge med bill when my kid gets hurt.

In less than a year the illegals problem has caused me enough grief to last a lifetime, my retirement is a hopeless dream. So anyone who thinks that it's ok for illegals to be here cuz Americans won't take the jobs they have.....well you A** holes can bite me!

Yes they would because we subsidize services for poor people, like education and benefits. The middle class and higher pay not only their own way but most of the payments that provide these things to the poor. That is why poor immigration is limited to developed countries, and is why the line is so long.

However, many relocate for education. With the failing border states schools in our area, our family may be one of the ones that does this. Adding in-state tuition and all sorts of benefits for illegals, who aren't supposed to even be here, is as much of a magnet as employment, in my opinion. The magnets need to be dismantled and we need real border security, so we can get our schools and services back. They won't get better when the stream of poor from across the border is essentially endless.

Since the Senate Bill won't address that, but would make a bad situation worse with essentially unlimited immigration as well as a rolling 10 year statute of limitations as a 'rolling amnesty' for illegals who come in the future, I am against the Senate Bill. As proof that the Senate Bill doesn't even pretend to stop illegal immigrants or plan to crack down, why would they even need the statute of limitations or in-state tuition for illegal immigrants if they were going to? Either 'this is it, there will be no more' on amnesty, or 'this is a farce we're just taking it in pieces which will continue forever' which is what I believe they are after. Big business wants cheap labor. Democrats benefit from more worker votes (they hope). No one seems to be protecting our schools and upward mobility for our own people.

Probably. Life most other places in the world is less desirable than it is here, even if you are sweeping the street for a living. What do you suggest as a solution? All the I-9 documentation requirements make it difficult for an illegal to get a job in the "legitimate" world of employment. I don't understand your reasoning on the "tax dollars going to waste" comment. The reality is that many illegals perform the work that too many naturally born citizens think they are "too good" to do. Frankly, we could learn from their work ethic.

They pay taxes, how many times do I need to say this?No matter what job you do,the government gets their tax money.Even(bad as it sounds)if a person uses someone elses ss#,they still get taxes taken out.And so what if they don't file with IRS at the end of the year, just means they won't get any of their money back. But alot of illegal ppl nowadays want their money at the end of the year and now have tax ID #'s.With this number, they can work and recieve tax returns.

The US wants everything. They want cheap labor and good workers. They don't care if the workers are illegal or not.And I can't blame illegal ppl for getting everything they can.If America gives them work, why not take it?

No.illegals would'nt want to come so easily, cause most come here to work and live a better life.If they couldn't work then there wouldn't be any reason for them to enter. But while they are here they make the US prosper also. They buy things, spend money, and work for low wages(although they are getting smarter about that).I don't know why America doesn't want them here.

Of course not. Nor would they come if we denied citizenship to babies of illegal aliens.

What has to happen is for us to enforce sanctions against employers hiring illegals. Set up guest worker programs for some industries, but deny high paying jobs in construction and other major industries "where Americans are being denied work".

With these two issues resolved, we would not need a fence and any terrorists sneaking across the border would not be inconspicuous as they are now.

Its ironic how the leaders of this country is always wrapping themselves in the flag-yet when it comes to the hiring of an American vs an illigal the illigal will get the job. I thought that charity began at home. but maybe that sentement dont apply when it comes down to the bottom line. The boycott they demonstrated a couple of months ago should have been a wake up call-we should not put all of our "working eggs", or labor sources in one basket.

That depends. Are they running here to mooch off us? or running from something in their own country? Not all illegal immigrants are here to leech off the honest workers of america.

no because, if they had to pay our taxes they wouldn't have enough money to send to their families in their countries. i think that its the governments fault for allowing them to enter the USA. and let them working ,all they do is use up all of our resources.then the government wants to know why we have homeless and starving men woman and children
