They can, they just have to do it legally!!!! Otherwise, they are breaking the law and our govt. SHOULD be enforcing it. That is not discrimination.

Everyone overlooks the basic issue. It is illegal. If you honestly believe the law is unjust, change it. Americans have lobbied to change laws and succeeded since the USA was founded. The vast majority of Americans understand the problem with illegal crossings. First of all there is an immigration policy and quota. By crossing illegally you are cheating someone out of their chance to come here. If that person is Indonesian or Chinese, why should you get the opportunity because you could jump the border? Secondly by beginning life as a criminal, you have set a standard that means the rest of the laws in this country do not mean anything either, so you drive cars without licenses, do not buy insurance, manufacture phony ID and engage in numerous crimes because that is how you got your start here. If you are of Mexican descent you left your country to come here because of the gross negligence of the Mexican Government for the past seventy years. I say go home and fix Mexico. There are more natural resources and potential there in the long run. Why come here to do our dirty work and ignore your homeland while you are doing that.

Does the word "ILLEGAL" mean anything to you?
People who break the law are called criminals.
All countries have immigration laws and policies so that people from other countries can't enter without proper authorization.
There are laws in place to protect a county. People from other countries CAN enter the United States given that they do it LEGALLY.
It is okay that people want a better live for themselves. However, if they seek to gain that better life by illegal means, they should EXPECT there to be consequences. Many illegals have had the privilege to sneak into the United States and live for many years without anyone sending them back to their country.
The true problem is that because laws are not enforced it sort of becomes like the United States condones illegal immigration. Many companies hire illegals and are not punished for doing so.
Since the borders will never really be truly secure, the United Stated had to clean up the mess it has made by not enforcing it's laws. Criminals and people who refuse to work should be sent back, while hard-working, honest, decent illegal immigrants should be allowed to take steps need to become citizens.

In the earlier times, there was Ellis Island... my grand-parents were immigrants by the way....
There are laws in this and every country... if someone comes here "illegally" then what next...there is no respect for the law from the start... and if you live here, you ought to be paying taxes just like me... why should I pay more so your kids are educated and the streets you are walking on and driving on are paved nicely, yearly it seems sometimes ... (I might add my pet peeve---- if you come here you outta learn the language of this land... and not rudely speak your own language in front of me with others when in my company (isnt it rude to tell secrets in front of others)...ESPECIALLY at work dog gonnit!!!
I think everyone wants to live in the United States of America... if everyone moves here, then where the hell am I gonna live.... THAT IS WHY WE NEED LIMITS SET AND LAWS TO APPLY THOSE LIMITS---no matter where you are coming from....
The greatest incoming illegal immigrant apparently at this time is the natural Mexican from Mexico.... because there are so many here now already, the demonstration is big and it so then appears that there is a descrimination... the big DESCRIMINATION card (sick of that card)....dont matter... if here illegally, then you are an illegal immigrant meaning you broke the law of this land meaning >>>>you arent supposed to be here....
AND--- I think that companies that are putting a second language on their products ought to be boycotted!!!

They are welcome to come, but only if they come LEGALLY. Otherwise, I am in favor of more stringent control of all our borders for the safety of every American. The Mexican government needs to answer your question in reverse. Why is it they cannot take care of their countrymen? Why do they want to leave? There are plenty of very rich Mexicans which indicates there is some sort of an economy. Also, why does the Mexican government do nothing to drill for the oil from which Mexico could benefit in a huge degree and create a whole new layer to their economy. The problem is Mexico's, not the USA's.

OMG!!!! After 911 do you really think the United States should just forget about our border security??? It is called ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION MORON!!!!
If Mexico was the target on 911 how would you feel if unknown people ILLEGALLY crossed its borders, KNOWING that radical muslim terrorists are out to kill all Mexicans simply because they don't believe in Allah????
How stupid can you get??? Oh sorry you must be a brainless liberal IDIOT and I am supposed to have compassion for the simple minded people in the world!! NOT!!

Spoken like a true liberal douche.... How stupid can you get? Why not let all Islamic people come and go as they please as well right? Do I need to remind you of 9/11, and why it would be incredibly stupid to let anyone in here that wanted to come? Not everyone comes for a better life.... Are you even from the US?
They can come here, the legal way.
I think this quote applies to the rhetoric spewed from pro-illegals:
"We've heard that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could produce the complete works of Shakespeare; now, thanks to the Internet, we know that is not true."

Every country decides who can enter and who can't. The United States isn't unique in this. I agree that the U.S. shouldn't stop them from entering--LEGALLY!!! Illegals are draining the system of money and services because, for one thing, they don't pay taxes. Do you want to support them? Further, don't you want to know who's entering the country and what they might be up to? Undocumented people can "disappear" into the country and do whatever they want. Your ancestors came here legally, why not these people? Your idea is lovely and naive.

Every country has its own rules and regulations regarding entry into that country. No one, and I don't care where they are from, has the right to ignore the laws and come into the country illegally. The only reason that Mexicans are so often brought up is that they are the vast majority of those that are here illegally and breaking our laws and being problems. Anyone who is here illegally is a criminal and should be deported.

There's no discrimination going on, quit listening to the bleeding hearts twist illegal immigration into something it's not. Entering ANY country illegally is a crime. Next thing you know we'll be hearing how it's discrimination for handing out traffic tickets to illegals who either don't inform themselves of our laws or just decide to ignore them then plead ignorance. Obey the laws of whatever land you're in or going to. It's as simple as that.
