Can there ever be a discusion about the immigration problem, with out it being turned into a racial fuede ?

The immigration problem has nothing todo with race, but rather a problem with people comingintothecountry illegaly.

Many people said that you can't compare what I have listed above to entering illegally to the U.S. BUT you can't also compare crossing illegally to feed your family to murder, assaults, kidnapping, or rape. So people who commit this crimes are CRIMINALS. BUT I do not think that anti-illegals should call illegal immigrants criminals just as these people. You CAN'T compare entering to the u.s. illegally to feed your family to raping someone. Don't you think?

We already have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants here, that's 12 million criminals folks. If we consider one American supporter for every illegal, we're looking at 24 million criminals in this country, just violating this one single crime. What a pathetic state of mind this country is in. I live in a country of criminals and it hurts me to face it. Don't we already have enough criminals to deal with? I sure would like to see my tax dollars being spent on some good, honest, hard working, law abiding American people just trying to get by.

I think I have a solution to the problem of the shutting down of the hospitals that is caused SOLEY(sarcasm) by the illegals.I'm gonna go slowly for those Angry ppl out there,they don't seem to read too well.When your in vehiclular accident the hospital puts a lien on you.(A lien means you owe the hospital)The lien is filed in the courthouse(thats a big building where the keep all the county records,so they know who owns what).If there is a judgement in your favor($$$$$) the hospital gets their money before YOU do.Thats what the lien is for.
Now,use that general idea for the illegals.If they go to the hospital they get a lien put against them.The lien can be against their property,or their automobile.If they sell their property the hospital gets their money out of that.
Do you get it now?
It could work.

He has returned to his native country and is now about to start the process of returning back to america to become legal to live here. He has lived here his entire life since he was two years old. He went to school and just graduated with a bacholors degree in Mechincal Engineering and was employed with an egineering company. His company said that they will sponcer him to come back. Can anyone tell me if they themselves or possibly you know of someone who had to go through this, how long the process takes. He had spoken with his immagration lawyer and they said that getting married was not going to help us much since the process wouldve taken longer. I planned to spend the rest of my life with him as we were together for four years until all this blew up on us. He had always thought he was born here until his parents were deported earlier this month. I would appericiate tasteful comments in this matter as this is very hard for me. Thanks for any help!

video cameras are helping cut down illegals crossing into the U.S. and increases apprehensions of illegals?? 191 were apprehended the FIRST week!!
The cameras are being used in ALL four border states!! FINALLY, they have the tools needed to "GET ER DONE"!!!

My fellow Mexicans, we have to work together to make our country a better place! Instead of going away, you should stay and help the people, demand your rights! We're not going to solve anything just by a "viva México cabrones!" I think it's time for us to stop being a "third world country." We have the resources to be better, we just need the mentality to do it. Do you think it's all the government's fault? Most of it yes, but it all starts with regular citizens. Let's get that first world mentality, let's get the positive. Why do Mexicans throw trash when they're in THEIR country, and stop doing it when you cross? (to the U.S.). Why do you pollute your own country? Don't you have any respect for it? This is just an example.

God I wish I could scream this to all the people, so they can think about it. Stop with the "viva México cabrones" and start acting and do good to your OWN country.

My fiance is British (drives a recycling truck) we are planning to marry in May of 08. Things have changed drastically with the emmigration/immigration laws since 2001, I need help navigating what the legal jargon means from all the info we've received from the Embassy and the internet. I need help in setting up a plan to get him here, what to fill out - when to send it in, etc....any ideas and resources would be helpful!!!

Well it's a little obvious that whoever gets elected, will have an impact on this subject. What do you think it's going to happen? If you know about the proposals of the candidates, who do you favor? What do you think will be better for Mexico, as for what is going on in the government, a leftist party or an extreme right party? This will mean a huge impact on the subject of immigration to our neighbor country (you, the U.S.A.)

Elections will be on July the 2nd.
