Only if the Puerto Ricans WANT Statehood and the last time I heard, the jury is still out on that issue.

As a practical matter, it probably will never happen because the drug companies that are killing Puerto Ricans off by having their toxic products made on the island, would not be able to get away with some of the stuff they are getting away with... and since the Drug Companies have the paid-for politicos in Washington in their pockest (like the Medicaire "D" card)... it's doubtful P.R. will ever get Statehood.

No, they should be free like any other nation. Puerto Ricans have rejected US statehood and the US congress has never offered anything like that. They do not want a spanish speaking latin nation with 4 million as a state in the american union, it would be too divisive, like Quebec has been for Canada

It does not appear that they want to be the 51st state and I doubt that will change in the near future. They have voted down becoming the 51st state on two occasions.

It CAN, but it more than likely will not become a state. And Canada, USA, and Mexico will not become 1 country by 2010.

Possible, but the Puerto Ricans voted against it twice.

No, Puerto Rico is it's own latin american nation. They have refused us-statehood many times. Case closed.

They don't want to, they already voted on it a couple of years ago.
Statehood means paying income tax and nobody wants that. Besides, the US, Canada and Mexico are all going to be one country by 2010 if the globalists have their way, check out

Is this what Puerto Ricans want?? And I don't mean just for economic reasons...all aspects of this issue would have to be explored.
