I belive there are already plans to do just that , but not 100 % sure... I live in the midwest, and there are comunities up here , that are flooded with illegal aliens... The town 30 miles away from me is now over ran, because a local meat packer prefers cheap, disposable labors, instead of hiring long term locals, that will want the best wadge possible so that they may support their families

Companies love to hire Illegal aliens, they will not unionize, and the can be fired at any moment, for any reason ( If any ) and not be able to take any action aginst the company. All they need to do, is work 4-5 years in America, go back south exchange dollars to pasos, and live like kings.

Illegals are taking good jobs away from tax paying Americans, The argument that they only take the crap jobs we don't want, is not true. They are steadily breaking down the pay scale, and the rights we deserve in the work place.

In short I say , either build the wall or but up 1000 signs along the boarder that reads " Tresspasser will be shout on sight. " .

Building a wall would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. I dont think that a wall should be built but I do believe that security measures should be increased. Almost all the illegal immigrants that do come from Mexico only cause problems for the US. A Mexican gang MS-13 was not even heard of in the US a few years ago and the leading source of the members are illegals from Mexico. Having poor security protection is like living in a house with no walls where anyone can just walk inside if they please. I know that the process of coming into the US is time consuming and it can take years to complete but I believe that if people just followed the laws there would be less murders, rapists, gang members, or possible terrorists coming from the boreder.

Mexico is not the only place that needs increased security. There is a road in Canada that leads into the US that does not have anyone there to confirm that they people are entering the US. All the exists there is a little box with a camera and phone that you are supposed to get into and confirm you are entering the US. However half the time the phone does not even work. How many terrorists do you think come through this spot. Security is not what it should be on our borders and something needs to be done to increase it.

I don't think so, it won't work. The Great Wall of China didn't keep out the mongrel hordes. The Berlin Wall didn't keep Germans in. And a wall across our border won't keep people from climbing over, diggin under or finding other way it.

Besides, that's not the border I worry about when it comes to terrorist anyway. Better start looking north...

A wall nor a fence is the complete answer here. Yes a wall or a fence would help slow the influx of illeagal aliens. However, as many news stories have pointed out they are digging elaberate tunnels under the bodrer. They are still transporting them bu land in vehicles as well. I doubt we ever STOP all illegal aliens. Where there's a will there is a way. However a good fence/wall could help.

YES.

Or, not a wall, but the 'smart fence' 95% effective double or triple fence with trenches inhibiting vehicular ramming and a road for Border Patrol vehicles down the middle. It should include cameras, and in (small) areas where it may not be contiguous there should be sensors and cameras and extra staffing of well trained and well equiped Border Patrol. In addition, the law should be ENFORCED which will be a huge change in MO for our country.

Yes, the cost of the wall would be paid for in Less than a year. Americans pay over 12 billion dollars a year for just health coverage on illegals, and 2 billion to teach them English. The list goes on.

My suggestion;
Consolidate all of our military bases to the Mexico/ US border. Create a ordinance rage from California thu Texas. The bases and the missile/bombing ranges could fill the spots between the bases. The military could control the bases and the unexploded rounds and bombs + mines could control access in remote areas. The cost would be about the same as it is now and we could recover some of the cost by selling existing bases.

Even the Great Wall of China wouldn't stop the movement of peoples on this continent. The Western US belonged to Mexico for hundreds of years before the anglos took it away from them; to try and keep them out will be imposible. They were here first.

I think it would be a waste of time, money and resources when it only addresses a symptom of the problem and not the source. People will find a way around, under, through or over any fence. Address the reasons illegals are coming here and they'll have no reason to come and no fence will be required.
