Not All Immigrants Are From Mexico!?

Why do the questions posted on immigration talk about Mexicans? Not all immigrants from Mexico! It's just bothering that people are so ignorant and dont realize that there are many immigrants from many countries not just Mexico.

Mexico is not the closest country, there are two (Canada and Mexico). Also i agree that its wrong to "sneak into the US" but people categorize Mexican Americans and Illegal Mexican Immigrants together. Which is not true. I was born and raised here, have a college degree, have a successful career and PAY TAXES. People saying that Mexican American people are stupid is just ridiculous to me! and people saying that Mexican Americans just want to take their jobs away is ridiculous too! most americans are lazy and dont want to do anything while Mexican Americans want to work.

Of course we know that there are many immigrants from many countries besides Mexico. America is the great melting pot. The topic is ILLEGAL immigrants though. I am sure that we have them from all countries also. What do we hear the most though? We hear about the ILLEGAL Mexicans walking over the border. Yes we have another country bordering us...but when was the last time you heard about an ILLEGAL Canadian walking over the border? I am not saying it doesn't happen. The media pretty much only discusses the Mexicans.
As far as persons who say things to you because you are Hispanic....unfortunately that is just life. There are ignorant people everywhere. Fortunately for you....you know that you are a citizen. You went and got a degree, a job, and pay taxes. That's what you are supposed to do.
I just want to know something. You get all offended about people talking about Mexicans....yet you called Americans lazy. You do know that you are an American right?

I assume you are talking about illegal immigrants. It is true they are from many countries, but if you look at the questions you will see about as many Mexicans posing this as a question about Mexicans as you will find non-Mexicans.

Mexicans make up the majority of illegal immigrants, on their own. All of the other countries together make up less than that. Also, Mexicans are the ones who have made this such a high profile issue.

At the same time, Mexico's own immigration laws are quite harsh, and they give out advice on crossing our border there. That is unique, as far as I know.

Yes there is immigration from around the world, and most of it has always been welcome. We are a nation of immigrants. The reason Mexico is targeted is because they break our laws, then as non citizens demand rights that they do not have as non citizens. Citizenship has to be earned. The Mexican border is a problem also with drugs and terrorist. If people want what this country has to offer they are welcome to do so IF. They obey the laws(suppose a group of people decide they will run red lights because that is what they want to do) Without laws there is only disaster. There is also a growing problem with multi cultures, where as everyone (not just Mexicans) want everything in their language and want to import their customs etc. The people of this country have always assimilated and joined in, not insisted on changing things to be like the country they came from. Europe and Africa and parts of Asia And the whole of the American continent is a prime example of what happens too many languages and customs and ethnic background meet head on with each one demanding their way is how it has to be. People are not down on Mexicans because of where they are from or what their ancestor is. The people of this country (including a number of legal citizens of Mexican decent) are upset because they see an assault on their way of life and this country. As a great man once said, When in Rome do as the Romans do. Learn the language learn the customs. You can still do in your own home as you please as long as it is within the laws of this country. And this country is not beyond learning or adopting some way of life the immigrant has bought with them. IE Mexican food for example is quite popular all over the USA. But obey the laws, blend in, learn the language. And do not start a miniature country in this country, or disaster is sure to follow. And anytime a group of people insists on being separate from the rest of society in any country they will always ask why are they prejudice toward us. If someone were to come into your home uninvited unable to speak your language, and not willing to learn. then want you to care for their needs. and then tell you they are moving in with or without your permission etc. etc etc. What would you do? Try board a ship or airplane that go oversea without a passport.

I will never forget the moment I enter Slovenia on train. There was a group of border patrol with a machine gun walk into the train to stand in front of the seat so no one can get out. They ask for the passport and they take time to look at it. If they do that at borderline, I really doubt too many Mexican woul come here.

Not all immigrants are from mexico,but if you are talking about the ILLEGALS,then the MAJORITY of them ARE from mexico!!!! That is why we have 11-30 MILLION of them here already!! There were HUNDREDS sneaking in to this country daily,until the guard was sent to the border!!! So,while we DO have immigrants from other countrys,we have way TOO MANY from mexico that are here ILLEGALLY!!!!

True but most of the ILLEGAL immigrants are from Mexico. I don't think anyone wants to completely close the borders, just keep the illegals out.

If you have been paying attention to everything you would know that we aren't saying all illegals are from Mexico. They are brought up most often because a vast majority of the illegals ARE from there. Anyone from any country that is here illegally is a criminal and should be kicked out.

But the majority are, and those who aren't are usually Hispanic, too. The immigration laws would effect everyone, but people refer to Mexicans on here because they are the ones who cause the most problems? The proof was on the taped protest shows. Whose flag was that? Don't blame Whites, Asians, or Blacks for this one.

i think they are being ignorant my family is from mexico and so am i i think people from mexico come here to get a job they are helping by doing the jobs americans dont want to do it is unfair im very mad at everyone who has killed a mexican
