The issue is illegal immigraiton. Read more. Everybody and their dog is trying to bum-rush the border these days, and americans don't want a France in their backyard. If you don't understand what that's all about, then sit down and read about all the immigration problems france has been having, the riots etc.
We don't want, nor do we need all of that garbage in america. Hence the need to uphold our immigration laws. We need a lot more law enforcement on the job. Do you want to see america tank? Honestly? What kind of country do you want YOUR kids to grow up in? Choose carefully...

you are right to a certain point, founders of this great Country were immigrants, but they went through many battles and revolution and civil war to become what they are now. They were looking for a dream, for a new land that would provide all they were looking for, and did not have where they were getting away from, so, when they found it, they fought, many even died thinking their future generations would have a better life and did everything there was to do, to make their dream come true and established and founded this United States of America.

Hence, we have to understand that there is a big difference between an immigrant descendant and an immigrant of the present, the latter wants to enjoy things that can not enjoy in his country, and obviously with no ancestral rights in this Great Country.

Now, unfortunately the great majority of immigrants come from Mexico, and as somebody else mentioned, most of them come from rural areas, and there are many who days before coming here were using as means of transportantion a donkey, and worse do not even know how to speak and read their own language. With 0 cultural and education background and used to live in little towns or small tiny ranchs, and as humans that they are, there are good ones and bad ones, the first, when he arrives here looks for a job and if he gets it, he will not only do his best but will fight hard to keep it, the latter, here comes the problem, because he most of the times is adviced by friends or relatives of the great advantages in this country, he just hangs around living at government expenses and what is even worse thinking he has the right to get them.. So when this type of immigrant is seen by citizens, there comes the trash. I know there are other many factors, like employment , or even wage and salary being brought down.

This is a question that bother me as well, especially considering the vast majority of us have ancestors that were immigrants. Many people want to point blame at some group for our country's social problems and immigrants are an easy target, others are frustrated with rising taxes and the notion that immigrants contribute to the rising costs of government. While others have have racial issues based on prejudice.

Listen up rez girl, I haven't heard many talking trash about immigrants on here. Gee Not too many talking trash about illegals either. The conversation is about the law being broken and the havoc it is reaping on our country. Get an education before you start pointing fingers and making accusations.

Look....it is not the people themselves. It is what it is doing to the country. Do you realize that the illegal Mexicans (all of them - in order to work) steal a person's identity in order to be able to get a job. What do you know about identity theft? Maybe not much but it's a bad thing. I also know that they go to our hospitals and get free medical care because they can't pay and don't have insurance so the hospital has to cut back on staff (husband works there) because they are going under with all the free medical treatment they are giving out. They DO NOT (as they can not) file income taxes as we do. That is not fair. A BIG portion of my paycheck goes to the government. Therefore I drive on our street but I also help pay for it with taxes. They are driving on the street and it is FREE for them. They as a people are not BAD --- it's the situation itself - not the people. Every state in the US thinks they are being taken over by Mexicans. And every state IS. Read up on it to understand it. And hope your identity isn't stolen so someone can come here and live free.
We are paying for them.

Because these ppl don't remember the ten commandments ."Honor Thy Neighbor" is one of them, remember people that God doesn't like ugly.

And thanks for writing that people here COME from immigrants. And those that came here back then sure had it easier to become legal.I bet most of our butts would never have been born if not for that easy immigration they once had.

they might be origanally from immagrants, but the familys have been here so long that doesnt matter. theier parents, and grand parents (and great godparnts and so on) fought for this country, to make it what it is.
most of the trash talk is about illegal immagrants anyway. they are here unlawfully, and are downed on just like if they had committed a any other crime.

origanally, if you think about it, every single person is from an immagrant, in any country.
if you are religous, then your line immagrated from the origanal site of the garden of eden,
if your not, then humans immagrated from africa through asia to europe and china and on to america.
