We already have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants here, that's 12 million criminals folks. If we consider one American supporter for every illegal, we're looking at 24 million criminals in this country, just violating this one single crime. What a pathetic state of mind this country is in. I live in a country of criminals and it hurts me to face it. Don't we already have enough criminals to deal with? I sure would like to see my tax dollars being spent on some good, honest, hard working, law abiding American people just trying to get by.

It could be if you break a law or cover up his crime. It does mean you support crime by not speaking out against it weather you like it or not-which makes that person less moral.
Laws were made to protect the majority of the people living in an area. Those who don't support them due to a selfish feeling of their own (and that would include what you want) are encouraging lawlessness.
Throughout history where lawlessness prevailed many innocent got hurt-that is why we made laws. If you don't like the laws than get the majority to change them
legally. This is the right way to protect all. So yes-supportors are hurting many.

well, if your friend burglarized a place, and all you did was watch and make sure he got away clean, then you are an accessory to the crime and you will serve timeand pay restitution to the victims, if arrested and convicted in Americas courts. This happened to my stepson, it cost him a lot! not to mention a criminal record for life.
The problem that Americans face concerning "criminal trespassers" and their accomplices is that these criminals are simply detained and then transported back across the line, to try again later, usually the same day. They seldom are held accountable by the American legal system for the crimes they have committed. The problem is a fundamental break down of the American judicial system concerning the crime of Criminal Trespass onto U.S. soveriegn soil. Those that support the criminals are just as guilty but, they know that they wont be prosecuted either, so the problem simply escalates to what we have today. A F'n mess! Who is going to clean it up? AMERICANS! thats who.

I think it does! You are supporting people who are INVADING your country. (What else would you call a type of person who waltzes in, causes horrible crimes, marches under a foreign flag, and then settles down demanding citizen benefits made mostly by hardworking legal people?) Also, it's not just one crime- many cause horrible crimes. There are one million sexual crimes caused every year (by illegals) in America- one million that don't even have to happen. Schools have to spend extra money on kids who don't want to learn English and/or don't feel the need since so many employers, managers, teachers, products, etc. give directions in Spanish. (It's not that hard to learn a language if you have to- I know kids who have come here from Poland and Japan and learned English pretty quickly.) Those are just two examples.

Plus, between all of the jobs we have exported to other countries, the illegal immigrants taking jobs, and human work being replaced by machines, what jobs are left for teens, part-time workers, elderly people, and people who need extra cash? There are very few choices left. Also, if illegals want the American dream, they can do it legally- starting off by becoming a citizen. Their personal problems are not the problems of our country. They take more money then they pay back to the government, and then they commit crimes, use benefits, become a burden on schools and businesses, etc. Now,(to anyone who sympathizes for them) explain to me how this is fair to those who work and pay taxes as well as legal immigrants?

I think you make an excellent point, and again it comes back to the government and their lack of ability to set up some sort of program to bring people legally into America.

The porgram in place is not enough to stop people jumping the fence, I know because Im currently going through it. I married an American. I am British, I am educated, a teacher, and would like nothing more than to help out in America's over crowded schools... but I can't. I have to wait, fill out forms, go to interviews, oh and pay, to come through the legal immigration system.

I am happy to be here, and legal, but really think it's time the US did something to either help these people legally or stop it altogether. I prefer the first option.

LET THEM COME???!! Apparently woundshurtless, ( the 20 year old from Maryland) has no clue what kind of a burden on our country these criminals have. You need to take a trip to the Southwest of our country to get an idea of how serious it is. I have no problem with immigration, just make them pay taxes and speak the language.

Yes Mr. Bush, it makes you a criminal. And by forcing American citizens to pay monetarily under taxation for illegals, it makes every American citizen an accessory. So, now that we know we are all doing illegal acts, under the direction of our government what will we the people do about it?

i agree with the whoel tax dollars thing, but if you coudl break one tiny law to keep someone from starving, or loosing there home, woudl you do it. im not saying all immigrants are in that position, but alot of them come here to live "the american dream", and honestly, most mexicans i know work harder than any american i know, so as long as they are willign to come and work for what they have, let them come.

WOW.....that is a good way to get alot slaps on the back.

Well.....no less than the employers.....I hold them equally responsible for "illegal" entry. So if you would like to label me a criminal......GO RIGHT AHEAD.....I have been called worse by better than you.

I agree. It should be a felony to knowing harbor a criminal alien, or to hire them.

I use the term "criminal alien" to describe all illegal aliens. By their very presence here being unlawful, they are criminals.
