Where do you get this crap? Do you sit home dreaming this s**t up all day? I've been an RN for 26 years/worked across the US-hospitals do not function in this capacity! Although the "illegal" population are draining our medical system, they are not the only ones-many "legal" residents and citizens cannot afford to pay their bills either. Hospitals are underwritten by federal and state programs to assist them in meeting their costs,as well as private donations and religious organizations. Our hospitals are struggling because more and more of our working class can no longer afford their insurance coverage and employers are not matching health care contributions as they used to (more out of our paychecks). The poor qualify for various programs and the rich well...it's never been an issue. But... the working class, that's the problem. You can't ask the courts to address a federal/state level issue accross the board-they're a little busy addressing criminal issues. We need to revise our healthcare coverage issues with our elected officials-"illegals" need to be reported on entry into the hospitals-sent back to their own countries for healthcare, and we need to take care of own in a much more responsible way than placing "liens" on their property and or any potential "judgements" they may be legally entitled to them!!

What happen to they were poor? What if they can't cover the bill-which is the case for many? Your idea has flaws-many. And it doesn't cover the rest of the programs that are hurting. It doesn't work. Not at all.
I came back to this question for a reason. It is fine if we talk and try to reason with each other. Your idea on medical would not work--Nation Health would-people would pay more out of taxes(many will holler on this)-but everyone would and could get help than. And the poor here would benefit and not be hurt.
There is nothing wrong with trying to help and throwing out suggestions. That is more than most will do.
There is a problem with not facing facts-which I have seen many do--that solves nothing.!! Are you guilty here too? We see their comments and that throws their whole value out the door. Denying facts is useless!! There are problems facing it is the beginning to solving it-if you really care.
Some think by denying it -it is fine-it isn't-and some have outright lied. This just diminishes the problems and it is senseless.
If you want to work on solutions which is a good thing--face all the facts. Admit them. working and facing those problems-including laws (if you don't like them change them legally-by the majority). Don't ask for a disregard of laws-they do protect.
Talking and reasoning is fine and should be encouraged.

Brilliant idea, Pancha!(sarcasm) I'll go slowly for you because you don't seem to write too well. Illegals (notice how I didn't say Mexicans) ARE putting many hospitals in jeopardy. The hospital, however, will NOT put a lien on me or my family's earnings because my Latino husband has a job and something called medical insurance. So, I'm wondering how you know so much about it.
Simply: LEGAL not ILLEGAL immigration. Period. Next....
Do YOU get it now?

I think the answer is to build more hospitals and provide other social services IN mexico, rather than to try to keep gaming the United States to squeeze out ONE more freebie for people with no legal right to be in our country. But, that's just me...
Another thought: Why are you pulling so strong for illegals to remain in the United States? The problem is too many people, Pancha, tax system's already so far in the red it's unbelievable, and you think bringing MORE people in is going to fix anything?
Maybe they should privatize ALL health care, and close down some of these emergency rooms....I know that sounds cold, but you're a lot more careful in what you do if you know that you're not guaranteed free ANYTHING just by virtue of being someplace...and that's the draw of america, the promise of 'freedom'. Well, some people equate that with 'free ride', don't you think? So, shut down the free ride, and the rest of the carnival, and there won't be an immigration problem, because people will finally start trying to solve their own problems right back home where it matters, where it can help ALL the people in their country.
Mexico could be independently prosperous, Pancha, really, it could. Instead, it's this protracted fan-dance where they keep trying to sell the United States on the virtues of having all these people from Mexico in the United States. American voters aren't buying it, no matter how hard you try to sell it, the problem is obvious, mexico's having too many kids that it can't support, so it sends em north. Why can't Mexico solve its' own problems, Pancha, don't Mexicans want a better life, like they say? So why don't they act as a body to work to fix these things? Why do so many in Mexico expect so much from the United States?
Mexico needs to get its' people to solve their own problems, and find other countries to trade with besides the United States. Your actions, by that I mean the actions of people that are such strong advocates of illegal immigration into the united states, are causing problems. I know you can't see it, but there's a lot of people that would just as soon that about 60% of the people from mexico went home, and are prepared to vote to that effect. Mexico CAN do it! They CAN improve their infrastructure, they can build their own schools, their own hospitals, promote more industry and foreign trade so as to create more jobs, they don't have to live off the United States anymore. That's learned dependency. Mexico could be 100% independent. We have to say 'no' eventually, better now before there's another Great Depression...

OK, but when the cost of medical service is say $5000, and the car that is in lien sells for maybe $1800. Where is the rest of money going to come from? My vote is to send them back.

It wouldn't work. If they are using fraudulent information, what is to stop them from just getting some other fraudulent ID and now living with that name and ignoring the debt to the already fraudulent name from before? The answer is that if they come in and cannot prove legal citizenship or legal visitor (by VISA, passport, etc), then ICE is called, and as soon as the person is released, they go directly into custody and get shipped back to whatever country they are from.

It's still much easier and efficient to MAKE THEM PAY TAXES. No muss, no fuss, no confusion with legal BS. Simply go out to the fields and hotel bathrooms, find their employer, slap him with a $2000 fine per illegal and see just how quickly these employers get their act together. Then place a 15% surtax on all money sent via Western Union to Mexico.

Assuming they own a house, or register their vehicles in their own name. It could work for honest people. Your not explaining any new concepts here, but thanks for playing. Now if they were to start garnishing their wages.... much more effective.
booboolubear, you are one to talk, you have not came up with one intelligent comment on the subject to date.. All of your comments are filled with personal bias, and emotional strife. I have more put more intelligent though into this sentence than you have contributed since I have first seen you on here. Oh yeah, I sent you a message about your 10 commandments comment, no rebuttal?

What's wrong with just having insurance? Then we don't have to use taxpayer dollars to process all of this thru the courthouse.
Also, I'm thinking that most illegals don't notify the appropriate authorities when the make these sales, so we'd never know about it...
