In 1519, the native civilizations of Mexico were invaded by Spanish troops numbering about 600 soldiers, who brought with them superior weaponry and old world diseases. Early Conquistadores was Hernán Cortés, who entered the country in 1519 from a native coastal town which he renamed "Puerto de la Villa Rica de la Vera Cruz" (today's Veracruz). Contrary to popular opinion, Spain did not conquer all of Mexico when Cortés conquered Tenochtitlan in 1521. It would take another two centuries after the Siege of Tenochtitlan before the Conquest of Mexico would be complete. The conquistadores (conquers) were just that! A bloody murdering army out to plunder.
The first successful settlement in North America was English FAMILIES, not armies, 125 years after Spain attacked south and central America.

I do agree with you that if someone wants to stay in the United States, they should do it legally. There are laws and those laws need to be enforced. I'll be the first to admit that it bothers me when my own elderly parent's, who are both good, honest people, are on a fixed income and can't get hardly any help from the State, but I see people who are in the country illegally getting all kinds of assistance! However, I think you're putting a stereotype on them when you say they all play loud music, they are all dirty, and their kids go to the bathroom anywhere they want! I grew up in Oregon, and we had a lot of illegal aliens there, and I got to be honest, I never saw any of there little kids going to the bathroom wherever they wanted! I don't think every illegal alien is a horrible person who just wants everything handed to them. I think many of them want a better life and are just not sure how to go about coming to our country the right way. It doesn't mean that we should overlook that and say okay, since you didn't know better you can stay, but it's not right to label all of these people as lazy and dirty! And I really don't think they are ruining America! I think were going to have problems regardless. My husband is in the military and I support and love the United States to the fullest, but really, we have our share of problems with or without illegal aliens! It bothers me as much as the next person to see my flag being disrespected. But you can't judge all of those people for that! We are stationed in Italy, and a few months ago we were in Rome visiting for the weekend, and there were people burning the American Flag because it was the anniversary of the Gulf War. But that doesn't mean that every Italian is like that! We are treated very well here, and with the up-most respect by the majority of Italians we come in contact with.
Also, you said that it's a slap in the face to every American Army soldier that has fought for our country. The Army is not the only branch of the service to fight for our country, so it's a slap in the face to every service member, as well as to America itself. But our country has showed that we can and will overcome this kind of disrespect, and we'll go on and be just fine!

This American sees that. I honestly cannot comprehend the state of mind people are in when they say to grant them amnesty.... It is the biggest load of bull I have ever heard. I have found the overwhelming majority of illegal supporters are just plain lacking of intelligence, and I think that plays a huge part in it. No matter how many times you point out the fact that they are wrong, they still keep spewing their empty arguments, trying to justify breaking the laws of our nation.

The ONLY argument the have is that there is a human element to this, and I agree. It is a bad situation, but they brought it upon themselves by breaking the law coming here. You can't give them amnesty and tell the rest trying to get here the proper way "Well to bad, should have broke the law." What kind of message is that? Other than that argument, they have nothing else. EVERY other argument they try to make falls flat on it's face.

You are missing several key points.

First insulting illegals is not going to get anywhere. Many are decent people. They are not filthy, they are poor and from very poor nations, but rarely are they filthy. Hispanic culture which tends to be what is held up as the image of illegal imigration values cleanliness to a great degree. This being an Arabic holdover in thier culture.

They are destroying the US economy yes. This is not an accident either. You assume that political groups do not want this effect. That is not true. There are Latin/Central American groups dedicated to the downfall of the US and to "taking back" the area lost by Mexico in the Mexican American war. Which is hilarious in several respects. First Mexico wanted the war as much as America. Both nations were eyeing the sparsely settled areas of the other nation. Both had eyes on the unsettled areas as well. Second the Mexicans have no more claim to that land than the Natives who they stole it from. Nor do those Natives have any more claim to it as they too stole it from other Native tribes. Too many people in the world today assume the Natives were these peace loving peoples who just some how grew out of thin air in these areas. In reality many were very war like. They took the regions they control from mostly extinct Native peoples. Many driven to extinction by the conquests of other tribes. So who stole what from who is a pretty meaningless question. What is important is who is going to have the best standard of living and a life free of tyranny. Mexico sure isn't the answer to that. Nor is the Western US an answer to Mexico's poverty. There are no resources in the Western US to save Mexico from Mexico.

Next point is why do we buy products from people who hire illegals. Tysen chicken for example employs almost nothing but illegals in it's chicken processing plants in Arkansas. You want to make a difference start with the employers. No work then no reason to come here and jobs that go back to American workers.
Counting on the Gov to do something usefull is like waiting for summer snows in Florida. If you wait long enough I'm sure it will snow sometime in July in Florida, but it might be a REALLY long wait. Want something done in the US you got to do it yourself. So a group boycotting companies using illegal labor would be a huge first step to solving the problem.

Next removing legal and illegals from the country who have no interest in being America. They don't like it here then please go to a nation that is like what they are trying to turn America into. America is the only place in the world where you can enjoy the freedoms we do here. There is no place for many American's to go to have the same kind of life we do here. I'm not talking standard of living, wherever we go so too will the standard of living. Something so many people fail to relize is that resources are not what made the US what it is. It is the culture. By rejecting the culture you reject the standard of living and freedom that is enjoyed in America.

Most Americans see it but too complacent to do anything about it. When and if they ever wake up out of the stupor they're in, then the kid gloves will come off and it's going to get violent. One way to put an end to all this illegal bs is to take out Obama. He is deliberately poking the hornet's nest, trying to incite violence.Well, be careful what you wish for dude. He's an arrogant, America hatiing son of a ***** and he needs to go. Until he does, all this bs will continue.

Nice way to generalize 11 million people. "many family members" implying we breed like rabbits, "loud crappy music" implying we all listen to music other than barry manilow, "filthy ways of living" implying that we're dirty people which is funny since a large majority work in the cleaning industry and if you like, I can take you to a loca trailer park where you won't find any illegals but you will find "filthy people".

"Kids going to the bathroom whenever and wherever they want"?? Now this is just idiotic. Yea, I see this all the time...some illegal kid whipping out his johnson and taking a leak in the local gorcery store.

Dude, don't generalize all 11 million people....cause see, when you do that? You get labeled a RACIST.

You, give republicans a bad name.

Unlike South Africa and British India, Malaysia panicked when Dato' Seri Anwar, after his dismissal as Deputy Prime Minister, took to the streets. Within months of his arrest, the then US vice president, Mr Al Gore, came to Kuala Lumpur with a stirring speech to support the Reformasi movement Dato' Seri Anwar unleashed.

He lost the US presidential election to President George W Bush.

In the spirit of Al Gore, I commend you for the courage to take a stand against illegal immigrants and wish you well in your brave struggle to reform America.

You and others like you are destined to lose your arguments because you really do not understand the bigger picture.

Hey some of us do see and we're enough to start the healing process if we stick together and keep our focus and the fact that it is illegal. When we start mudding the waters with personal opinions about illegals culture or lifestyle we start breaking down the unity of our pack. You said a lot but most of it had nothing to do with illegal immigration, your hype and burden seems to be about their way of life being distasteful to you. You're right that justice has nothing to do with race...... you should've kept your focus on that. When you start slamming their culture and lifestyle you make those of us who are fighting hard to stop this problem look like heartless prejudice fools. I don't appreciate it at all.
