Amendment XIV - Citizenship Rights. Ratified 7/9/1868.

1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws

Can someone explain to me how Congress giving our rights away to illegals and colonizers doesn't abridge what we've been promised??

while it's everywhere, imaging the fight CA is having over it's budget because politicians want illegal children taken care of over and above legal taxpayers children! Where do they have authority to do this?

Do you think that the US will have to come up with some sort of compromise or do you think that our government will unrealistically TRY to deport 12 million illegals? My opinion is that our government will HAVE to come up with some sort of compromise and like it or not MANY illegals will probably get another chance at being legal. I think our border patrol with tighten up and I believe a wall might be built but ultimately I don't think we will be able to get rid of all illegals. What are your thoughts?

Lets keep all opinions PG and no talk of shooting them all in the head or anything like that. They are PEOPLE too!

I had submitted my papers to my company for H4 to H1B filing on 4thApril'06. For whatever reasons they did'nt sent my papers on 19th May and the visas got over on 26thMay. Now I am worried that I have still not received any receipt no. inspite of the fact that they generally send it in 3 weeks. Someone in similar situation please suggest what to do !!!

I had a question and no one seemed to respond. I am not racist and I am a true believer that people should be treated properly. I asked questions about views from people about this subject. Then I posted another question hoping to get a response from pro-illegal aliens to help me understand BOTH points of view. I got NO resposes so far from the latter question. The people here are psychic - they answered that I won't get a response as they don't have anything they can say that holds water. Giving you all a chance to get your point across but you won't. What about all the demonstrations and now nothing to say? I'm baffled.

Mexican people (illegal Mexicans I mean), please tell us YOUR views on
1. Why are you here demonstrating instead of in Mexico demonstrating for your rights?
2. Why is it okay for you to steal identities of people in order for you to work? That is something we are very against - identity theft.
3. Why is it okay for you to work and take home your ENTIRE paycheck when we (tax payers) give money to the government out of our checks (a lot).
4. Why is it you can get free medical because you aren't going to pay your bills and you don't have insurance - where the hospitals have to now cut down on everything because of the high cost of indigent care?
Please give us a reason to be on your side. This is more than one question. I am personally not against you - I asked a question earlier which argued some of these points. Now, I want to hear your side. Make us feel better about you being here and more accepting of you.

Heard this on the radio last night. Fox, Bush, and Blair are going to build a super highway from Mexico to Canada. You just have to read this go to spp.gov and read the fact sheet.
I would like to know why this is so hush hush and why the web site has such easy access/ Would like your opinions.

I have been concerned about this issue for 20+ years myself, especially the lack of concern of our "elected officials". So, why now? Remember, the key words are "illegal and unlawful". Maybe the people in charge of this issue are a little over-educated, and lack some common sense.

Prisoners get a free ride with food and housing. They watch TV, form gangs, and do nothing all day. Why can't we bring back the chain gangs to make prisoners work? Then the issue of cheap labor will be settled at NO COST.

Just because i think that people that live in this country should be required to speek english. Is that right? I think that's a horable word I would never call someone that unless I knew for sure they were.

in the USA, I have a question for you. I am a legal resident of the USA and I have a lot of MIXED feelings on this issue. Who do you think is going to work picking the tomatoes in the fields? We have a foundry in town that is very very hot (warehouse - in FL) - melted metal. People will start working there one day and NEVER return because it hot hard work. Who do you think is going to do this work if they all leave? I'm just curious. See, if they do leave, don't you believe that our agriculture/industry prices will have to go up because they will have to be forced to pay higher wages for such work by a US citizen. Just something to think about - what are your thoughts? Like I said, I have somewhat mixed feelings. Am not "arguing" with anyone.

Still racism is continued in US..Especially in some parts.(Dont want to mention). And they see Indians so cheaply. Why is this happening? What fact made them to see like that? Is it because of the less pay and more job we guys are?We are also the same blood ... In what way we are less to them?

My gf and i have beentogether for 4 years and she is a German citizen who was born in poland. I am an american citizen and lived in germany for 3 years but was recently transferred back to the USA for a new job. Is there anyway besides marrige to have her legally stay in the united states. I have tried to aplly for a green card on the internet but because she was born in poland she does not qualify.
