americans cant you guys be friendly? and share? i am getting really depressed how its only focus on MEXICANS! what about the gangs of EL SALVADOR? salvatrucha! the worst gang in the world. thank u for your answers

Its not a Mexican issue with me--its a legal issue and a environment and a budget issue.

And many get angry on both sides and say things they most likely don't mean.

Mexican illegal immigration is a big problem. It is actually an "insurgency", not just an illegal issue. True, they are not commiting terrorist acts like the Iraqi insurgency, but they are building up a massive presence. They are becoming a drain on our social services, and health care facilities. The kids of illegals are clogging up our school systems, and we spend an average of $6K per year per student on them.

You talk about the gangs? Take a look at the prison gangs. There are at least 2 mexican prison gangs, and they are some of the most brutal thugs around. There are mexican gangs in the streets too, and they are into anything and everything.

Did you know the mexican armed forces regulary shoot at our border patrols? Yes, and they actually cross our borders and shoot at us. There was more than 250 documented cases of this last year alone. Why isn't this an act of war? Why havent our Presidents addressed this? Why is our media ignoring it? Who knows. Idiots I think.

I dont want to come across as an alarmist, but the situation is worse than most people realize. It should have been stopped in the beginning, but it wasnt. Now people see it as a "right" for the mexicans. It isnt, it is breaking our laws, and with the millions here I predict trouble is brewing ahead. There are too many of them to control, and if some of them decide to act a fool, well...too bad.

It is unfortunate that you get depressed hearing negative things about your race Mona. But the truth is that people coming from your country of origin illegally are causing a drain on this country socially and economically. You don't hear of the Chinese or the Lebanese or any other race coming here in incalculable numbers every single damn day....ILLEGALLY!!! Your just upset that "everybody is a racist" cause we are tired of this dang invasion of people that just so happen to be your race!!!! If it were the Chinese or some other ethnic group......it would get the same reaction. It's not race sweetie, it's the "number" of people coming here illegally and receiving benefits which they don't pay for......WE DO!!! You need to get a clue and stop being so sensitive.....It's not personal. If your an American citizen of Mexican descent.....then your no different than me......An American Citizen!

There are alot of Latino gangs, just like there are gangs with people of all colors. The Green Nails(who are Vietnamese) are apparently very scary people, 18th street, and lots of others. New gangs of Mexican illegals who fight with Mexican-American gangs are cropping up here. But, I agree. Violence comes in all colors. Mexicans are 57% of all illegals so maybe that is why there is so much focus on them. Mexico is also the gateway for other countries to come to the U.S. I live in a border city and a recent raid netted 4 Iraqis. How did they get here? Through Mexico.That is why we need more cooperation from Mexico to help fight illegal immigration.

I totally agree that M13 is much worse than people here to live and take services we pay for that they are not entitled to. However, most illegal immigrants are Mexican. I am not more opposed to Mexican illegal immigrants than to others. However, I am opposed to people conniving to put their children into my children's overcrowded and underfunded schools, driving down education for my children. This is a much worse impact when children are not fluent in English when they enter school.
Even citizens aren't allowed to go to a school outside of their designated area, and if they are caught doing that, they will be kicked out of the school whenever that occurs.

When we can't adequately educate our own children in our border states we have no business letting people who shouldn't be here make that situation worse. The are willing to lie and steal education and other services in order to get a better life for their children. We are willing to fight that. Why do you think the person enforcing the law is in the wrong rather than the person breaking the law and taking what isn't theirs?

I think Americans are very generous people and they don't mind sharing. However, there is a big difference between sharing what you have with others and having others come and take from you even more than you have to share! Be sensible!

People don't come here from Mexico just to sit around and play cards. They come here to work. They FIND work in most cases because there is a demand for their labor by American employers who know exactly who they are hiring.

yah haha. kinds sad. all latin people are categorized as Mexicans. well then again. mexico is the only land connection to the US from latin america. so they all come through Mexico. i guess thats why they are cateogrized as that.

alot of ppl aren't talking about mexicans on general just the free loaders and the illegal aliens it's not right and people shouldn't just act happy and like everything is ok bc it's not!!!
